2022 sighting

I've never encountered a vehicle online forum that has had this many complaints about the logo/emblem. Ever. Talk about a first world problem...

People rebadged their 20/21s because they didn't like the old KIA emblem and now that KIA changed it, I'm still hearing similar complaints KIA can't win.

Just wait until everyone starts getting their 2022s and can’t readily put on the existing badge replacements because there is no longer a nice oval spot to slap them on…

No big deal. I like the old logo blacked out in Nighfall and I also like the new logo design (but not white). I'm not sure the white logo will look good on any color telly except maybe white. Maybe this was just for their promo photo op. Maybe it's not. If it is the final look and I don't like it, I can black it out myself. I did think the gray/black outlining on the previous NF logo was nice though. Whatever.

I agree with this but I think the new emblem will look coolest on white

I'm glad I didn't wait for the 2022s, since it sounds like there are no material changes at the SX level other than the logo -- and I think the '21 Nightfall with the smoked out logos looks better.

I mean, you can still wear a mask if you choose to do so. I'd imagine being a high profile political figure, it's all about optics and they believe wearing masks plays better with his constituents.

This. I would bet good money on the bright badging being for the photo op. The marketing team likely wanted the Kia branding front and center. They could have used a non-nightfall, but then the telluride badging and other bright bits would have distracted from the Kia logo. Modifying a black copper nightfall means that the only attention getter is the Kia badging.

And count me as a rebadge fan who is happy that I was one car away from my dealer's 2021 allotment. The new logo looks slick, and I think it will differentiate "new Kia" from the old econoboxes. At least it does for me.

I would be surprised if Kia made such a drastic change in terms of the nightfall, going from dark emblem to bright as can be. However, if it is the case I'm sure there will be a way to black it out. Combined with having a less than expected (in my opinion) price increase and having a newer MY, I'm not feeling salty about missing out on the 2021 cutoff.

I got an email from my dealer this morning saying that my order had been picked up and will be one of the first 22's! I did not get the nightfall because I liked the chrome accents... When people say the new grill will be black, I'm wondering if they mean the inner part or all of it? The old prestige SX had chrome a the top and bottom.

This is what has been reported thus far: “LX has a Gloss Black Front Grille with Chrome Trim. S, EX, and SX have the Gloss Black Front Grille with Satin Chrome Trim” – presumably the grille will have a different appearance to incorporate the new logo for 2022.

I bet we’ll know more (and get pictures!) when things are actually announced.

Omg I hate it… lol . I would immediately switch these out for black emblems when they’re available on Amazon or wherever. Really poor choice of color (IMO), if this is the oem color of the emblem on all 2022 nightfall models. Should be easy enough to change though.

I notice they did remove the trim level from the back end. Perhaps my Glacial White Pearl with Nightfall will offset the new white Kia emblems. No trim levels? Guess I’ll get used to a plain back end now.

Unreal. It’s going to backfire- more folks are going to debadge and they’ll loose all marketing. Especially with nightfall.
The badges are just taped on, right?
