New badge- opinion needed

Hi everyone, I’m trying to decide which badge looks best on my 2021 SX- Glacial White Pearl wi/Nightfall.

Options are OEM NFE, Vintage K, or Flying K. What are your thoughts?

Honest opinions are welcome!

Oem nightfall badges for sure. Especially since the new ‘22 models don’t have the special badging for the nightfall so you have a badge that most want or are trying to blackout to replicate.

OEM. I don't understand the fascination with these alternative badges. I think they're really ugly.
Not that the Kia logo is anything to write home about... I just think those other badges are horrible. I always figured people were just ashamed to drive a Kia/Hyundai. That's the only reason I can figure why someone would put one of those things on their car. They look like they were purchased on clearance from the auto accessory section at Walmart.

Wow, I’m shocked at the love for the OEM badges. From a few feet away they just look black (which I guess is the point of black out) but it also gives the appearance of just a blank badge.

The Vintage K is an authentic emblem used in Korea, very heavy and not cheap at all. Downside is that even though it’s considered ‘black chrome’ it still has a bit of chrome shine which might conflict with NFE.

The white/black badge appears to tie into the B&W color scheme on GWP. However, the badge is definitely lighter and possibly a bit cheaper looking than the others.

I’ve expanded the photos for easier viewing. Please pass along any thoughts.

Sounds like you really want to use the new badges...I like the black/white on the back, it fits in with the "TELLURIDE" lettering below. Front, the vintage K looks pretty good, but you're right about chrome. Black/white has a bit too much white on the grill IMO.

@Djames210 - I don’t have any hate for the other badges; when it comes to NFE, I prefer the dark badge.

Good observations. I also like the black/white badge on the back. I wasn’t able to locate a badge w/reversed white/black scheme for the front (with the background being black and the “k” being white). I think a black background could tie in better with the black grille.

Call me an idiot but I too have a Pearl White 1/2 Panda Telluride (replaced w/Nightfall grill, black lettering, Plastidip black rails). I tried the black and chrome K and the white and black K (the white decal material is noticeably a different white) but finally decided to go with these from KDM Warehouse. Front and back. The dark emblem on a dark KF grill, like you have with the OEM, to me is more classy. Not sure why I'm a nerd about this, but I am... everyone has quirks

Lionbreath, I believe this is the same badge I ordered from KDM. (See photos 5, 6 and 7). It’s supposed to be black chrome.

Does your badge look more like shiny chrome on the car? I wonder if they sent me the wrong set.

Yeah his is much darker chrome, I would put that in the front and black/white in the back?

That would look good but the two logos are different - one is Vintage K and the other is Klexus. It would feel odd not using a matching set.

Funny I didn't notice the difference in logos that you mentioned (Vintage K vs Klexus). I think I like the Klexus better and according to my little bit of research, it's more authentic than the Vintage K (see below).

From what I’ve found, the ‘Vintage K’ is based on the original, authentic logo and was used domestically in Korea.

The 3DK/3.0K ‘Klexus’ badge is an aftermarket creation (ironically also made in South Korea) that people started using for fun.

I think the badge that looks best depends on the vehicle color and whether chrome was deleted. I specifically ordered black chrome, but I really can’t tell if it’s black chrome or regular chrome. I hate to return both sets of these badges but KDM Warehouse seems pretty good about taking returns since we pay return shipping.

Please let me know how the dark chrome looks when it arrives.

Also, I changed the badges out not because I'm embarrassed to own a Kia but because the old logo is ugly and not worthy of the Telluride (IMHO). I don't understand the appeal of the Brenthon logo or some of the other ones with no tie to Kia. With the Vintage K, you can at least tell a story about the old Korean logo. To each their own.

That definitely looks like regular chrome. These are the ones you want: Vintage K Front or Rear Badges and Emblems (Black w/Black Chrome)
