Thank you very much! It went from the 4th to the 9th and now the 15th. Is that typical to get pushed back again and again? Any idea how long it takes from factory to dealer? Also, what’s it mean if there is a name attached or not? Thanks so much!

It’s really due to transport availability. Lately cars have been getting delayed a week or so. Your name is attached. K****** B*****

hold the unlock button and the sliding doors and tailgate open at same time. If you walk away from sliding doors or rear trunk they close on its own.

just to start haha. Learning a few other amazing things exclusively on the Carnival

Well, that alone is good know! I found this forum last year when we were considering a Telluride. That said, I’m not super familiar with the way your dealership works but I just don’t understand why we HAVE to get tint and nitrogen filled tires with the addendum! We really wanted to get ceramic tint but they don’t do it and said it would be an up charge (but I still don’t know who would do it!), Is the car tinted from the factory? I’ve heard yes and no. Have you sold any?

Yes I sold some already. It comes with a solar tint which is a light uv tint. Dealer adds are typically put on for a profit margin. Most dealers contract 3rd parties who do every new car that comes on the lot.(heavier tint) With the condition of the new car market unfortunately it is a seller market and most will not negotiate off dealer adds. Some stores may not offer adds and some do..

In the long run my opinion is if the dealer adds are reasonable or markup is reasonable then all is well in the long run.

it’s not just Kia brand or the Telluride you see selling over MSRP. Currently all my friends at other brands are doing the same. So at the end of the day it just a matter are you comfortable with the Carnival and the overall price and value, compared to the competitors.

If the answer is yes, I believe you will be very pleased with your ownership.

I see. I’m honestly not that mad about the charge because it’s less than some others I’ve seen and we aren’t being charged a premium (other than that I guess) but I just want the tint done correctly. You will have as much luck asking the magic 8 ball as any information that you would find on this forum. According to your VIN, it is coming from Port Hueneme, which is near Ventura. That means that it is coming off of a ship. All of the ports have been backed up lately. And, once off of the ship, it needs to get on a truck. There is a shortage there, too. But, when it gets on a truck, it's only a few hours from your dealership. The first two steps are the biggest unknown. It could come this week (or not). Curious as to what a factory paint protection package for $200 is.
