• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The other evening, I was pulling out of driveway and turning left onto a highway. I was connect by Bluetooth but wasn't using navigation nor any other features. I hesitate to call this a divided highway, but the chicken lane (center turn lane) is wide enough for two normal traffic lanes. So I turn left into the chicken lane and start accelerating to highway speeds to merge in and the navigation system (at least I think it was) starts yelling at me. Didn't pick up the exact verbiage but it came across as though it thought that I was traveling the wrong way on the highway. As soon as I merged over, it went away. I haven't updated in a while, but I have the purple home screen. Has anybody else experienced this?

I have heard people mention this happening when driving in construction zones on divided highways where the traffic is flowing in what would traditionally be the wrong way.

I have not personally been in a construction zone like that in ages, and I always like to drive on the correct side of the road otherwise, so I haven’t gotten this type of warning myself.

I'm Australian. That message is for us.

Was the chicken lane bounded by yellow stripes on both sides? Perhaps the cameras were reading the yellow striping and getting confused.

A solid and broken on each side. And I was getting a verbal warning - nothing tactile. The car starts talking to you in the middle of a conversation

So odd. It’s good it didn’t try to brake and resist your steering inputs.

It hasn’t happened to me yet. I’ll think about this the next time I am in a chicken lane.
