• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What have you done / plan to do to your Telly?

If I decide to go gloss black instead, should I buy gloss black paint or just apply gloss clear over the matte?
Go with gloss black paint. The matte will be a nice primer for the gloss.

I prefer gloss or satin. Some folks have used this Rustoleum paint with great results. No primer needed. I picked up a can but haven’t gotten around to spraying.

I have a 2021 SX and so far, I have:

  • Changed the reverse lights to LED
  • Had a custom dash cover made/ installed
  • Installed those "Stop Drop" inserts between the front seats and the center console (prevents stuff from dropping down between the seat and console)
  • Installed OEM mud flaps (looks nice but they are essentially useless)
  • Added a 360 Dash Cam (hard wired it)
  • Bought a nice hand-made leather Fob cover from an outfit in Korea (via Etsy)
  • Bought a colllapsible carge basket rom Amazon (every bit as nice as the one that says "Telluride" but for half the price).
  • Added a four-hole license plate mount on the rear
  • Added a cup-holder mounted iPhone holder - similar to Weather Tech, but much less $

Things I still plan to do:

  • Ceramic Coating
  • Tint front windows to be closer to the rear windows
  • Install all-weather cargo mat (I REALLY want the one they sell at the dealers in Canada with the 60/40 split for the third row)
First off, I plan on de-badging anything in the rear (minus “telluride”).
-ceramic (system x is my first choice right now)
-35% window tint all around minus the windshield.

Possibly later down the line: smoked head and taillights

Nothing earth shattering, just some simple mods that will clean it up for the way I like it to look.

Looks great! Just gloss black engine spray paint? I'm definitely doing that.

Installed the Opt7 Aura interior led kit today (saw this product recommended by another member). IMO there's not enough lighting on the interior when driving at night so this helps. I ended up using the 12v hookup to avoid messing around with the fuse box. Total install plus hiding wires took me about 30 minutes.

I am a total newbie at this. How do I paint just the tips and muffler like that? Do you have to take them off?
Wrap a trash bag around the parts of the car you don't want painted, tape the edges for a nice clean line, and spray carefully.

I did glossy and happy with it. blends in with the other glossy bumper piece for a cleaner look.

Look at the window trim and the taillights
Interesting! (I was never good at the spot-the-differences games that kindergartners do. And apparently I don’t know what my car looks like… I had to look at stock photos to figure out the before/desired after.)

I had a real problem w/ my knee hitting the grab handle. So I placed a 2" X 3" piece of Memory Foam on the handle, and sucked it down tight at the ends w/ hose clamps. I covered all that w/ a piece of black terry cloth towel (just for looks) w/ a couple zip-ties ......Aahhhhh......my knee loves it!
