• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I haven't been able to find much information on the rear entertainment system... does it come with headphones? Can you use your phone with it if it's connected via USB? How would you use the HDMI input?

Search this topic on the forum. Its highly suggested you purchase your own set-up in the aftermarket and then take the family out for a good time with the hundreds of dollars you would be saving afterwards! GL

I’ve ordered the rear entertainment system also. I wanted it to be seamless with the vehicle instead of an aftermarket purchase. I found a few videos on YouTube showing how it works.

I don’t have any answers to your questions so feel free to ignore my response. :)

I opted not to get the RES. It is an afterthought solution that they did their best to integrate into the vehicle, but it simply is not seamless.

If you have younger children, I know the value of being able to provide and control entertainment from the driver’s seat. But I could also see the Telluride’s screen mounts getting broken in a hurry with daily schlepping of kids. (I much preferred the roof-mounted screen in my previous car. It was unobtrusive… it wasn’t in my way when putting kids in carseats.)

Since my kids are more self-sufficient now, I bought aftermarket headrest mounts that the kids can put their tablets on. Not for daily use; just road trips. HTH

you might not want to add that to your purchase. for the most part you may want to opt to get an aftermarket added instead. i read it in this forum.. here ya go

I did not order the RES but it is going to be on the one I am getting now since my dealer had an identical match to my order come available 3 months earlier. Does anyone know if the RES has been updated on the 2022 model or if it is the same?

It was barely available on the '21s (late availability.) It's probably the same system I'd say if I was a betting man, but I'm not. Enjoy the new ride!

I didn't ask for it when I put in my order... but it's on the window sticker when I looked it up on failcat. I immediately reached out to the dealer and asked if it can be removed... they said no, but they would take off $500 for the inconvenience. They said they didn't understand why it was added to my order. Ugh!

Some have documented here that the factory can install some options and accessories not originally ordered by the customer/dealer. If caught soon enough the dealer could call the factory and have them remove these unwanted options/accessories. And in other instances dealers have just matched another incoming vehicle similar in trim, color, and options to sell sooner, then sell your specifically ordered vehicle to someone else after it is produced. Who knows for certain.

Thats messed up!! Sometimes some people just suck! Taking 800-900 would have made me feel better since it wasnt something i ordered...u would think that since it may have been caught early enough they could have removed it..but 500$ will have to do, at least everything else is hopefully falling into place!
