This might be a stupid question but does it take longer to get dune brown vs black interior? Currently I have an order for SXP with black but after reading through this topic, I’m really being persuaded to change the order to dune brown. Also for those that have the dune brown already, is it too dark inside? Has that ever been a thought that came to mind (or kids minds) when sitting in the 2nd or 3rd row?

The black interior has the white headliner whereas the dune brown interior comes with the charcoal headliner. With kids and a white headliner…do you really think you have a choice?

If the car is in KFOS, or already en route to the dealership, or you have a window sticker and VIN posted by Kia online, itemizing exactly what's in your build, then it's an actual order.

If not, you're actually just on a wait list to back order a top trim Telly.

Certain highest-demand specs like AWD, SX P/T, the beautiful classic non-Nightfall trims, typically involves the longest waits.

Dune Brown Nappa gets you the dark headliner/pillars
Black or Light Gray Nappa gets you the light headliner/pillars

I think you can imagine what kids can do, accidentally or otherwise, to a light-colored premium cloth microfiber headliner.

Adults and dogs can accidentally mark the light headliners too.

I think Dune Brown is ideal if you regularly have 2nd/3rd row passengers. It's not too dark inside either. Since you're going Prestige, you'll have the rear moon roof and the side windows, if you don't add any tint to them, let in plenty of light.

Correct, we’re just on the wait list of back orders so I figured I can change the interior with my dealer. Thank you for the feedback! Just sent a note to them to update our order form to have dune brown. Not sure why I didn’t even consider this from the beginning

We originally wanted black interior but as soon as we saw both in person we were like oh no black headliner is a must lol and everyone has been loving the black and brown contrast. The Dune also goes nice with the not real wood trim (I hate saying fake wood lol but that’s what it is)

I like the French way: call it faux wood.

BTW, I have Dune with my Black Copper. It gets comments like rich, sophisticated, unexpected.

Hi All! I am a new member so I am wondering what is the consensus on WG with dune here? I have recently ordered this combo but sometimes I second guess myself that black interior matches better with nightfall especially on WG. What do you think?

I’ve sat inside a WG/Dune and I wasn’t really all that impressed considering how much the Internet raves about it.

I imagine a black interior would suit the nightfall WG more, especially if you’re going to do anything such as tint, blacked out badges, black roof, etc etc.

I am going to order that combo today. The dune brown fits the WG perfectly in my opinion. I just don’t like the look of black leather anymore. Have had so many cars with that color interior. We have the dune on a 21 Glacial white Pearl and it is beautiful! Many many luxury car brands offer brown interior with gray exterior. It works well. It may not be for everyone, but it is unique and not boring like black. The dark headliner on the dune just flows perfectly into the pillars and doors and dash. You made a great choice!

I am going to order that combo today. The dune brown fits the WG perfectly in my opinion. I just don’t like the look of black leather anymore. Have had so many cars with that color interior. This was the proof I needed I made a good choice. I started questioning my dune interior with the WG but bam this video!!! Thanks for sharing!!! I can go back to waiting for it to be delivered in 4-8 months.

Glad it helped!!! My wife didn’t really care for the WG, so we ended up ordering Gravity Gray NF with dune brown which I think looks great as well. I think dune brown goes with any of the Telluride exterior colors. We have it in our white right now and it is beautiful! The flow of the dark headliner with the dash and pillars really looks awesome and it is warm and cozy looking in there! You will love it!

I went with GG SX P/NF/T and dune interior. I was going to go with the black interior but with the light colored headliner my wife said it looked like an ice cream sandwich. The contrast between the black and light was just too much. She wasn't thrilled with the dune color and we would have preferred black interior with a black headliner, but alas.
