Order to delivery time

My dealer informed me that my Telly came in today! Picking it up later this week!

Order placed with deposit = 6/18 (was 14th order of the day in KWD)
VIN generated in Failcat = 7/6
Delivered to dealer = 7/27
Planned pickup = 7/30


So less than 6 weeks from order.

So your dealership gave you the vin number when it became available?

I have ordered mine, Gravity Gray SX Prestige and Towing on 7/22 in Raleigh, NC and I was told the wait time would be anywhere between 4 to 6 months.
Is there a way to check the current wait times?
When can I expect the VIN to be generated?
Can we figure out the order number, so that I can look up on falicat?

Nope, my sales contact didn’t know the VIN. I, like others on the forum, checked Failcat for my dealer code with the build that matched my order and then posted my suspected VIN to Stephen Cantrell to verify with my initials.

Just curious has anyone ordered from Kia Parsons (VA) within the past month or so? Checking failcat and haven’t seen anything from them lately. Thinking of preordering elsewhere, just in case.

Ordered early July, has not been picked up or any update from the dealership. But I’m just being impatient, it’s just been a month so and I can’t expect it to be here in 4 weeks since I placed my ordered over 4th of July weekend. It looks like they get about 5 SX models a month, hopefully mine will up for picking up this month.

I ordered mines supposedly on 3/22/21 I found my dealership but there was no order for that day so I'm not really sure when the actual order was placed.

I got a text from my salesperson that my order had been picked up 6/16/21. ETA given by dealership was 8/25. We text almost weekly, but he has no news for me. Build also isn’t showing up in Failcat.
My current lease ends 8/24, and I don’t mind being without a car for a week or so, but getting a little nervous. Not sure how long transport to Texas will take after VIN shows up, etc.
Is it still a possible delivery by 8/25?

I recall seeing many posts from buyers saying they never saw their build/sticker on failcat but recieved their deliveries. I think you should be fine but hoping others weigh in

I’m right there behind you. Ordered a few days after the 4th. Quoted me 3-6 months. Still may preorder through Nationwide and see who arrives first. Cost difference would only be $1k.

ordered mine on 6/21 in KIA dealer in UT (UT008) -- have NO updates of any kind as of today (VIN etc...)

I’m not getting discouraged yet! Especially since I trust the dealership to be honest and fair. When did you order and did they give you a time estimate? They’ve never really given me one.

So I visited the dealer today. He had my window sticker and VIN! (No clue how long he’s had it, because it had been assigned to a completely different car on their internal spreadsheet.)
I have searched all through Failcat though and cannot find the VIN anywhere. I guess this Telluride was missed.
Oh, well…
and my delivery date has been moved up to 8/20.

July 9th. They said 3 to 6 months, however, after asking for a pricing sheet this week they mentioned cars were just coming in for those who ordered back in March. So sounds like we shouldn’t expect anything until the holidays. Merry Christmas! (Sigh)

Yes, but … the March orders were all converted from 2021s to 2022s at some point so they started coming out with the 2022s in I wanna say June?!? TONYK11 ordered from Parsons in mid-June and took delivery of his EX from Parsons in July. I’m trying to remain optimistic but you’re probably right about Christmas.

Where did you order from? Hendrick? if so I ordered on the 31st and was told the same thing. But you can place an order with Parson's in VA. That's what I did and whoever gets the car first gets my business. If they come in at the same time then cary is closer so that's where I'll head.

Y'all are getting orders way faster than we can in CA. We custom ordered here in NorCal back in November and just got the car in July. About 8 months to get the car we wanted at MSRP. Worth the wait, but I don't think you can even get this deal in NorCal any longer. Demand here is crazy and it is a seller's market. People are paying $7-10K over! I doubt this post helps anyone, but we feel lucky to have got a car at all. Best of luck out there - it's a great car!
