• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Is anyone else seeing this? We get it in a few menu options and can’t figure out why.

It’s blocking us from changing some settings including driver warning alerts and light dimming while driving, etc.

You definitely have some sort of a problem because these features are changed through the instrument cluster on the Telluride (they shouldn’t even show up on the infotainment screen).

These features are changed in the infotainment on certain other Kias and Hyundais. Maybe you got an inappropriate software version? Who knows.

Maybe check your software/firmware versions?

What does it say? (Setup > General > SW Info/update)

Do you have a 2022 LX or S trim? I wonder if this has anything to do with adopting the 10.25” screen for the lower trims in the first year, and they haven’t worked out all the software compatibility.

Doesn’t look like it, based on the pictures. I see woodgrain under the display. LX and S won’t have that.

Correct, SC - though it is a 2022.

I wonder if others with an SX have this... and the SW is half baked?

I’ll grab to SW version to post here today.

Some settings you can't change while driving, although it usually says "change when in Park"

Sounds like something wasn’t thoroughly tested. I’ve not experienced this in my ‘21 SX. I hope you are calling for an appointment!

Able to change the alert volume via the dash (thank you for the help!) - not able to set ambient lights to stay on while driving though.

Here’s the SW info - curious if this matches other 2022s and also 2021s?

Those do look correct (ON is the internal code for Telluride). I was thinking you might see something random or for another model here. Guess not.

Maybe try doing a head unit reset using the pinhole by the volume knob. Worth a shot, at least.

Yes, I'm noticing the same thing when I use the screen.

Thanks. Are you able to control the ambient lighting setting (option to keep on while driving) somehow through the dash menu or otherwise? I have not found out a “workaround” yet.

Hello,

No, I couldn't find a workaround for the ambient light intensity setting. And I checked everywhere!

Anyone figured this out yet? Got a 22 exp with the exact issue!

Just got my 22’ AWD SX/P/NF/T in gravity grey/black napa last Tuesday. It’s a week old with 130 miles. I have only experienced the error for ambient lighting. I’ll be taking it in. Software unknown at the time of this post. Says try again later…I’ve tried several times over the last week and nothing has changed, same error.

Please let us know what your dealer say.

Hoping for good news from your dealer. Thanks for being the least lazy among us, and getting it in to get it looked at! Please let us know what they say!

I’m having this same issue with my “22 SX.

Same issue here. It is also present when trying to change the temperature unit to Celsius.
