• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone had a rock strike issue for radiator and ac/compressor screen. Someone on YouTube posted this; Check it out any thoughts?

My thoughts: Its over-hyped. I don't think there has been as over analysed car to date as the Kia Telluride judging from the numbers of concern. It's not all bad, the buyers of this car seem to be media savvy and many items (both worth wile and worth less) can be brought to attention. It beats owners like Jeep and Jaguar owners who's problems could fill a phone book. But they don't seem to make any mention about this, at least as far as I know.

PittPa,
Thank you very much, I was thinking along the same lines, if it was that big of a deal I think Kia would have fixed it on their best selling car ever.
Respectfully,

Yes, owners have had rocks damage their AC condensers on the road. It probably mostly depends on the road conditions in your area and bad luck. Doesn’t seem to be a widespread problem, or any worse than other car models with huge open grill designs.

But if you want to give an extra layer of protection to avoid an insurance claim and repair process, doesn’t hurt to install a protective grill mesh.

There are some DIY threads on this if you search the forum (cheapest option). Some have also added mesh protection to the upper grill where the Kia badge is as well.

I have picked up all the material necessary to do the screening from the inside (by removing the front facial cover). Once it is off then the rest is quite simple to do.
