• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I plan to have this looked at under warranty, but just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. A few days ago, my windshield washer stopped working - Front and rear. I topped up the fluid and still not working. Checked the washer fuse - it was good. Then, I topped it up again, but this time I noticed the fluid was running out al over the ground. Seemed to be coming from somewhere just behind the front-right wheel well. I'm thinking a hose has popped off (hoping). Just curious if anyone else has had a similar issue with the washer and, if so, what was the problem?

Mmm haven’t had that happen. How many miles on the car so far?

That's right by the reservoir....either a hose popped off or a leak in the reservoir, most likely. Either way, hopefully simple fix.

Since the fluid seems to be draining out at the back of the front wheel well, I'm guessing a hose is either damaged or popped off. Impossible to see what's going on without removing a bunch of stuff.

Actually the water seems to be leaking from quit a bit aft of where the reservoir is. The reservoir is up in the front-right of the engine bay, whereas the leak is coming from an area at the back of the wheel well.

Wow very nice! I see you have enjoyed putting quite a few miles on the Telly. 😎🥳 Unfortunately there will always be things that go bad. I know it sucks when it happens. But the dealership should definitely be able to fix it. I know I always try and fix it but somethings are just left for the professionals. 😂 Not saying this is one of them but you definitely don’t want them to say you had something to do with by trying to remedy the issue. Specially with it being so new and still under warranty.

Please post what was the issue and what was done to get it back to normal. Good learning experience in case it happens to someone else.

Appointment Weds next week. Will post what problem was

There is a portion of the washer hose that is ribbed plastic and not rubber. Right where that hose connects to a fitting at the firewall behind the front wheel, that plastic bit of hose cracked. Unfortunately that hose was not in stock and they had to order it so I'll have to go back in to have it replaced.

Nice thanks for posting what they found. How long till they get that part?

A few days - maybe a week. What’s weird is the entire hose from the point where it’s cracked, all the way back to the back of the car, is one piece and the entire thing has to be replaced. Weird

Did the warranty covered the repair?

Our March 22 SX has this problem. Took it to southern Kia in Chesapeake VA. “We are making appointments in mid October now. But this is so new, drop it off next week and I’ll try to squeeze it in for a look.”

They squeezed us in. “Have you had this windshield replaced?”
Yes
“They forgot to hook up the washer fluid hose afterwards.”

No charge.

Yes it did thankfully
Wow I am having the same issue you described at the start of this post. Just took my 2022 Telly into a Kia dealership to have its 1st 6k mile oil change. All was fine before that, but after it was not. Water was pouring out behind the right front tire. No water reaching the drivers side, but was spaying the passengers side. I called the dealership and they he said he has been seeing issues with a cracked pump lately. Does not make sense to me since the right front windshield is getting a dousing. I have an appointment this Saturday. Bummer because the weather is to nice to hang there for hours.

Question, has your Telluride been fine since this post?

Grumble grumble grumble I’m having this issue right now and also had the windshield replaced! I hope it’s this easy.

Same happened to me... I just had my windshield replaced and no fluid on the windshield. No issues on my back window.

Is this an easy fix that I can reconnect on my own?
