• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... That looks worse than my accident I had today. I thought they total the car if damages are greater than $12k? Is that not the case?

Here are pics of my accident.
I’m sorry about your car. Sending you a short DM.

While Progressive may not have faired very well in the article above. many of the "heavy hitters" in the auto insurance industry rate worse than Progessive, including: USAA, State Farm, Farmers, Liberty Mutual and the very worst of all, Allstate. Thats 6 of the top 7 auto insurance companies. Somewhat interesting, Geico is the second largest auto insurance company in the USA, but did not make the list. Hmm.

To the above on the $12K damage, no way they are going to total a valuable car like a Telluride for $12K in damage. Imagine you are the insurance company. Would you cut a check for $40K instead of $12K?

Google whatever state you are in and the amount of damage necessary to be totaled. its going to be way, way, way over that amount.

Yea they didn't total it. Bill came in closer to $15k.........Having said that I'm hoping they write me an additional Diminish value check of $10-$15k since the car with 7k miles is still worth like $58k. But its Geico, they might be 2nd largest but dealt with them yrs back when it wasn't my fault and they were terrible. I had given up and 6months later was surprised to see a check in mail.
