Telluride sx lift and larger tires

Installed Truxx lift on my 20 SXP, still debating on tires, this thread is helping me decide. Mine does have the self leveling shocks, the rear does sag back to stock level when trailering my side by side, but otherwise works fine. Spoke to Truxx Rep, asked about shock extension possibilities, they're working on a fix but won't be soon.

Side note on alignment, after installing mine I took it to a shop, they didn't have the specs, so I took to dealership. No problem, but had to have a camber kit installed ($30).

Other than the sag issue, love the lift. Should've came that way factory, imo

Good information. I’m having a 2’ Truxx lift installed on my 2020 SXP. I will being going with Toyo AT3 265/50/20.
I was concerned about the self leveling technology being affected by the lift but I don’t tow anything - from what you’re saying I should be fine then. Good luck with your fix when towing.

Looks great. I am shocked that you were able to fit those tire on there without issues (or a lift).
I have to admit I was wrong.
Today I just realized they rub when backing up on full lock to the left.
It was on the back side of front fender. Very minor, but still they do.
Interestingly I can see rub only on the left. No idea why.
I might try the heat gun.
Also think I can install 1" wheel spacers I have already got.
But judging by tire position and angle, not sure they would help.
I will post any updates here.

Finally had Nitto RIDGE GRAPPLER 265/50R20 on 2022 SXP nightfall wheels without a lift.
I was not sure if they would rub or not, fortunately they don't at all even on full lock.

This is exactly what I am hoping to do with mine. I don't really have a desire to do a lift, but I would love a tire like this! Thank you!

EDIT: I just saw your most recent post. That's what I get for not reading to the end! 🙃

2” lift with 265/60/18 tires and wheels. Great addition for ground clearance.
I just put on this lift kit to my telluride and now I can’t get it aligned properly. I need help!

The installation took about 2 hours. I just did the install. Going to get an alignment on Tuesday. I’ll follow up then as to ride etc.
Any problems with alignment? My front camber is off

Finally got new shoes on, went with Toyo Open Country AT3, 255/55r20. They did have a slight rub on rear of inner fender well during turning. Easy fix with a heat gun and pry bar. For those that do that, be super careful, thought I was going to put a hole in the well even on low heat

Check out my earlier post, just 4 up from yours.....
Awesome thanks man. So they have camber kits that work on this vehicle? I was worried they didn’t have one since there’s no after market support for the tellurides yet.

Just wanted to share my 2021 Telluride SX-L set up.
After reading through a lot of this thread I was pretty hesitant to install the Truxxx 2" lift, but after some correspondence with the owner of Truxxx I was reassured that as long as the directions were followed correctly, there shouldn't be any issues with the install. Kia Victoria did the install for me and I've had the vehicle for around 2 months with the lift on it. I've taken it on a few trips on moderately poor forest roads and it's been great. I haven't noticed any problems with the lift kit since install. I built a removable sleeper platform in the back for some easy remote working and camping/sleeping off the grid. I use a combination of camping air mattress and a memory foam top layer for some pretty dang good comfort. I use a sattelite SMS service for work comms when I'm out of reception. Very happy so far! Happy to answer any other questions about the set up or off the grid work stuff.

Just wanted to update. Brought car to dealership after tires and lift kit installed and they fixed my alignment problem. 265/50/20 tires work great.

Hey, folks. Question for folks that have 2" Truxxx lift kit and/or outfitted their Telluride with 17's.

I purchased the kit, took it to a local 4x4 shop, and they were a bit concerned over the lack of caster/camber adjustment. If I understand correctly, there is a risk that when they do the alignment, the won't have all the typical adjustments available to them to bring it back into proper alignment. They weren't saying it would definitely be an issue; just that it could be an issue.

First, has anyone had any issues getting proper alignment after getting the Truxxx 2" lift installed?

Second, I'm looking to replace the 20's that came with the Telluride with Black Rhino Arches (17x8) and Toyo AT3's (265/65/R17) based on other comments on this thread, inclusive of my need for a capable snow tire in the winter. The shop also indicated I should be cautious of brakes not fitting properly if I'm dropping to 17's, and potentially even resulting in overheating or other issues. If this is a valid concern, I'd prefer to just go with 18's if there's any concerns that 17's will be unsafe in any way... but candidly I just don't know enough to understand or assess the tradeoffs.

My goal is to just get a bit better approach/departure angles, and also ditch the 20's that came with the car with something that is more reasonable for driving on USFS roads when we go camping and hiking.

As always, any thoughts/suggestions appreciated. Thanks!
I had this same problem with alignment at the tire shop. They could not get fronts aligned and recommended a camber bolt kit. Then I took the car to the dealer and they were able to get it aligned almost perfect. They said it shouldn't be a problem. I will wait a few months and gets tires rotated and see how they are wearing. Worse case scenario, a camber kit is cheap. I added the 2 in lift kit and 265/50/20 AT tires. Looks great and no rub.

Did you have to cut any plastic?
The plastic skid plates under the sides get pulled off and then cut small holes for the bolts then they get reinstalled. Took me about 2 hours for the complete install.
