August KFOS and orders being picked up

Hey, everyone!
So, I placed an order back July 28th for an EX at a dealership in the Midwest. I kept reading about the KFOS info, and how that factors into the order process, and I’m wondering what the current status is with orders being accepted. My dealership keeps saying that nothing is being picked up right now, and that it’s a factory thing. Has anyone else heard something similar?

KFOS opened Aug 11 and stayed open for a several days -- it was during that period that orders were picked up. The next KFOS period should start circa Sept 11, give or take a few days. Good luck!

That’s what I was thinking. I guess I’m confused because my dealership said that they didn’t have any orders picked up, and that it was a “factory issue”. It didn’t sound like other dealerships were having issues with it, so I was curious if anyone else had heard anything similar.

They're saying that none have been picked up for August at all. That’s why I’m so confused because I haven’t seen anything elsewhere to indicate issues, and they’ve consistently seemed to have a regular stream of vehicles coming in on failcat.

I hope you get clarification from them. Better yet, I hope it gets picked up next month.

My SX was ordered on 7/27 (from a dealer in MO) and hasn’t been picked up yet either.

I received the same update from the same dealer as prettyh8machine. Was also told that August orders were pushed to September, but October is wide open. No clue what that means.

Which dealer in MO did you order with? I ordered from Kia of Columbia in MO.

Did anyone ever get to the bottom of this? I asked my dealer yesterday and they didn't indicate any issues, everything is still on the expected timeframe. I hope they are correct since I'm expecting the car end of october but still don't have an official eta.

Nope - still no answers. I’ve gotten the same answer of October looking like the time frame, but that seems very optimistic if the orders haven’t been picked up yet. Who is your dealer?

Yup, it would mean 6 weeks or so (Assuming Sept. Pickup) from kfos pickup to delivery. I guess that's possible but it seems like a lot of people take longer. Dealer is Bob Bell in Baltimore

That does make it seem very unlikely for those of us whose orders weren’t picked up in August to have Oct delivery dates.

It does differ by dealer and trim, etc. I was hoping for earlier October but just happy to have an ETA

Agreed with what goodzerz posted. My order was picked up in August. The day after KFOS closed I received an initial ETA of 10/24 and then the dealer sent me an email yesterday with a 10/23 ETA.

Mine was Auffenberg Kia in Cape Girardeau.
