I'm developing a module, called the sprengBoard AutoPress that will automatically turn off the ISG (auto stop/start) and/or turn on auto brake hold shortly after the engine is started, and am looking someone that's willing to install one in their Telluride, take detailed photos of the install process, and give me feedback for the module (in exchange for a free module). I just received the first prototype batch and will be installing one in my vehicle (have a Honda Pilot until my Telluride comes in) this weekend. Once one is tested in my personal vehicle, I can mail the module to the Telluride tester.
Here's how it works: The module has two signal outputs - approximately 3 seconds after ignition, the module will send a signal to the vehicle's computer simulating a button press of whichever function the signal are connected to (ie. auto stop/start and auto brake hold). In short, every time the vehicle is powered on you can have either or both the auto stop/start turn off and the auto brake hold turn on without having to manually press the buttons on the console.
The module will need to installed underneath the center console (requiring removal of the console) and will need four connections to the wires coming off of the plug going to the back of the console button housing. I have images from the factory manual detailing how to remove the console, as well as a wiring diagram showing which connections need to be made. The module will connect to the existing vehicle wiring either by using inline taps, or simply by inserting the bare wires into the back of the factory connector and secured in place. The module can then be affixed to the underside of the button housing using velcro or double-sided foam tape.
I'll include wires, inline taps, heavy duty velcro, and instructions with the module. Once testing is completed and a couple minor design changes are made, the modules will be for sale on the Telluride Store.
If you're interested in testing out the module and are willing and able to take detailed photos of the install process, reply to this post. @arattle has already agreed to test one module - I need one more person to test.
(apologies for the poor quality photo, will have a better one soon)
