Exterior lighting when remote start

For some reason when I remote start my 2021 kia sorento no lights stay turned on. Only the amber colored blink a few times and that's it. I'm pretty sure when I first bought it I tried remote start and all the lights turned on.

This is quite clearly a Telluride forum.

However, this is how the Telluride (and most other Hyundai/Kia models) function when remotely started. So it would make sense that the Sorento would behave the same way… a few flashes of the parking lamps, then nothing. They like to keep it discreet when it’s started this way.
