Just ordered my '22 EX-P in Glacial White Pearl. Here's a little story of how I got here.
In April I sold my 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS, which had been an awesome truck, but was starting to show its age. In the just over 12 years I owned it, that vehicle never once let us down and it did everything it was asked, from long road trips, to pulling stumps and alot of questionable trailer loads. It was a beast, but they tend to rust at the bottom of the doors, and it was starting to get bad.
The Trailblazer was replaced just two days after it sold, with a 2021 GMC Acadia SLE Elevation, in Ebony Twilight Metallic. While we love the very aggressive look of this vehicle, we were quickly reminded why we stopped buying black vehicles. It's only clean for the 3 minutes right after being washed. We have two major issues with the Acadia. The plastic trim around the bottom of doors comes up entirely to far on the doors, and is a fine, yet deep grain texture, so mud gets into it, and you cannot get it out. I have to spend about 30 minutes per door scrubbing to get it sorta clean, which is absurd. It makes me crazy that I have a brand new car and can't make it look as good as I want because I can always see the mud in the grain. Also, my plan all along has been installing an aftermarket hitch. I didn't realize until long after I bought it that if you get the hitch from the factory it has a 4000 pound tow capacity, but if you add a hitch aftermarket, its only 800#, due to all the heavy duty cooling they install from the factory with the towing package. The goal was a vehicle that could do what the Trailblazer did, but 800# is useless.

So we thought we were more or less screwed until we realized with the ridiculous state of the vehicle market right now, Carvana will give me every dime I have into the Acadia to buy it off me. So we get a free mulligan. so after a little searching we decided on a white Telluride EX Premium with towing. First dealer was $5K over MSRP, not gonna happen, but our other local dealer is selling at MSRP. So I went in to order and told him I know it will be 4-6 months, but I want to order. He replied probably 5-7 months, unless you want a white EX. He then explained that one of his salespeople had ordered a car for a lady a while back, but the day after she ordered an almost identical stock vehicle showed up, so she took it. They then forgot to go in and cancel that order. So just that morning he had found this order in his system for a Glacial White Pearl EX Premium w/ black interior, AWD, and towing package, with an ETA of 10/29. That is exactly the vehicle I went there to order, so he just assigned my name to it.
