  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello everyone. My name is Andrew and I look forward to contributing to the forum. A quick synopsis of how I ended up here (long term lurker)

My 2006 Acura TL which I've owned since 2010 with 73k miles which now has 285k miles finally had the transmission go out on me.

Funny story. I have been wanting a Telluride since they first came out but waited to see if prices would drop. Then the nightfall came out, COVID hit and everything was selling for over MSRP. Wasn't looking good for me.

So, I've spent the last 2 weeks looking at the VW Atlas but after digging more, I found the reliability to be crap and coming from Acura, I can't have that.

My fiancé has kept telling me that I never buy anything for myself and I deserve it. So, just to mess around I got on Failcat and saw my local Kia dealer was getting shipped a 2022 Dark Moss, SX, P/NF and had every feature I've ever wanted in a car. I e-mailed the dealer and asked if it was a dealer or customer order. They stated it was a dealer order and required a $1k deposit to reserve it and price was the sticker price of $50,515.

40 mins later, 15 mins before the dealer closed, we were there putting down the deposit... He stated the car will be here 10/24 but some people have seen the cars arrive in less than a week. I wish there was a to track it... Never thought I'd ever buy a new car but here we are. Glad to have Kia's 100k mile warranty.
