• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have a 2021 SX with towing package with about 6000 miles. I twice pulled a 2500# utility trailer for about 25 miles each time and thought it handled it just fine. Power is adequate and no noticeable noise or issues. This past week I pulled the same trailer with the same load and had a rumbling from the back of the Telluride in less than a mile. I checked the receiver that I had used before and thought it felt a little loose so I then used the factory receiver and used a mallet to get it in. There have been reports of some owners not being able to get theirs in And so was mine.

I again went for a drive and the same noise was apparent immediately. I don’t know if the factory hitch is loose, if the self leveling suspension is faulty or some other component has failed. The earliest service appointment I was able to get is Oct. 18 at a dealer that I did not purchase from so I guess I have to wait for their report. I’m 73 yrs old and am not climbing under to see if I can find an issue, that’s what a warranty should handle.

Has anyone else experienced any issue with towing like I describe?

Need more information from "rumblings ". Most all hitches have some play in them, at least after time. I would suspect your hearing this.

No I don’t think it’s the hitch at all, after further research on the forum I believe it’s the struts that owners have had to replace. The thread is About “thumping” noise. I believe that is the problem.
