Not sure this is the right place so please move if it's not!
I purchased my 2022 Telluride EXP/N from I-25 Kia in CO, and had it shipped to San Francisco. I took delivery on August 2nd. Since the moment we drove away, there's been a persistent issue with UVO calling roadside assistance (see my post here if interested).
The next day I took it to the dealer, and after multiple trips, and countless hours on the phone with Kia Customer Service (mostly on hold...) they told me I need to have the headend audio unit replaced and it would be a 1 month wait. Fast forward 1 month - I called the dealer and seems like they never ordered the part, made some excuses about a recall that wasn't a real thing, and said they ordered a new unit which is 3-4 weeks out. Fast forward 1 more month, I called and was told they have no ETA on the part.
So I called Kia Customer Service again, and while they didn't have any more information I plead my case: We paid for a vehicle which we can't really drive because of a factory defect, it's been 2 months and we've not had any luck with repairs and nobody contacts us with updates (we have to call and sit on hold every time we want information). I've lost several days of work due to trips to the dealer, etc.... They responded by telling me to come up with a specific list of what you'd like in compensation and bring it to you're Kia Case Manager and they'll let you know what can be done - basically, we cant offer you anything unless you ask.
Here is where you all come in... I'm hoping you can give me some advice on what are realistic asks! This is my first vehicle purchase and while I would love some cash compensation I know that's probably out of the question. I am planning to ask for a few years of UVO, and an extended XM subscription (since I can't use either and my trials are running). Somebody mentioned additional bumper to bumper warranty which seems easy. But I'm all ears - I don't know what is and isn't realistic.
Thanks in advance! I hope the part comes soon so I can finally put this frustrating episode behind me and enjoy this beautiful car!
