Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The liftgate is tinted the same as the rear windows like most other SUV's.
You can do what I plan to do, go to your local tint shop or police department or ask an officer in his cruiser to test your tint. They'll all have a meter. I was under the assumption the rear windows were 50% VLT but I've been reading it's closer to mid-20's which doesn't seem right. I had 20% on a car in high school, and it was DARK.
Sorry I wasn't much help.
My tint installer told me, but I forgot the numbers. FWIW, they installed 30% tint all around, and I’m pleased with it. This VLT is above the legal threshold for Texas.
