• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey guys, ordered my kia on Oct 30th!!! Cannot waite to get my hands on it even if the dealer said 3-6 months to receive šŸ˜ž. My question is what are some things I can order before the car comes to have ready to go? I just ordered the weather tech liners for all three rows also a non glue door edge guards in black. The wind/rain window guards are not available on multiple websites. I need to get a roof rack seeing kia is out of stock. Am I missing anything else to add? Thanks in advance!!

I would personally recommend the Thule roof rack system (WingBar Evo, or even the AeroBlade Edge) if you need a rooftop solution. I also have the weathertech liners and highly recommend them. BTW love your spec, would probably be my go-to if I needed a second Telly :ROFLMAO:

Door edge guards? I take it this is for when you aren't driving?

It's for when my monsters (kids) open the car door with no regard for the paint. Protects the doors from dings and dents and, also protects other cars. Hopefully the black will play off the night fall color.

I think it is a good idea to take the interim time to not only decide which accessories you want, but also determine shop related work you may want done (e.g., window tint). Determine how much you are willing to pay (if you are on a budget), and where to get the work done.

Below are some things that I gleaned from this forum and added to mine (many thanks to all who contributed):

Bug Screens (to minimize bug impacts on the condenser fins behind the front grille)

Battery Operated LED Motion Sensor lights (center console, glove box, hidden storage compartment (cargo area), and below dash storage))

CarLinkit II (for wireless wifi)

Center console arm rest cover

Protective touch screen on infotainment head unit

Ceramic coating (DIY or Professional application?)

Paint Protection Film

Car Coasters (to capture moisture from drink containers)

Center console storage tray ( in addition to the one that comes with the vehicle to better organize that storage space)

Body side molding (mainly to protect the cars from me while garaged! LOL!)

HTH

Window tints!!! Love it, also the paint protection film sounds great, wonder what's the price on such a large suv. As for the wifi Unfortunately when I ordered the car kia had no rear entertainment screens. Dealer said its was unclear when stocks would return also no installation from them. Guess a after market screen would work.

RE: Protective touch screen on infotainment head unit

I guess I should have been more specific. I meant the head unit on your dash (also referred to as the infotainment system). Not the rear entertainment system.

Paint protection film (PPF) is for protecting the front of your vehicle from rock chips, bugs, and can be applied to include the entire hood, outside mirrors, behind car handles. You can purchase different coverage packages, but it is NOT cheap. Depending on your area and coverage desired, prices can range from $1000 to $3000+.

Must be on the same state wavelength (you left both pics in your Durango post…might want to delete the one showing your license #) and have to wave to each other on the Parkway someday! Just picked up our SX P/NF WG w/ DB last Saturday. Loving it so far!
- Door guards: Our baby dinosaurs are the same way with the doors and the exact same edge guards will arrive from Amazon tomorrow.
- Floormats: Because of our snow and salt up here, I’d get rubberized floor mats and make sure they have a ā€œlipā€ around the edges (get the type to cover the space between the Captain’s seats if you also have that option). We went with a generic Amazon brand for the interior because we weren’t sure what we wanted and needed something fast. But honestly they were truly heavy-duty and fit like a glove, so it’s all good!
- Got a Smartliner cargo cover that only covers the space behind the 3rd row. Got a quote from the Kia accessories guy in Canada for the 60/40 cargo liner, but hubs and I are arm-wrestling over it because he doesn’t feel it’s needed while I do. It’ll be around $290 delivered.
- Crevice covers (?): Not sure what else to call it, but the crevices on the front row between the driver&passenger seats and the center console… When (not if) you drop something, be prepared to almost disassemble the whole friggin’ car to retrieve it!!! We almost needed to call Rescue to extract my arm because it was seriously stuck trying to reach my phone! (we were driving across the country and initially I didn’t think it was necessary to pull over… wrong!)
