• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Looks like failcat has been slow the past couple of days! <100 entered the last two days. Parts shortage maybe?

Failcat only shows US production. They produce all of the World's Telly's in Georgia. I wouldn't put too much stock in a couple of days production numbers.

It’s just that on average I have been seeing about 300-400 a day and then dropped to 75 one day and 24 the next. That’s why I was curious as to why.

Very few VINs populate during the weekend, and Failcat is offset by a day. On Saturday, Failcat shows the VINs released on Friday, and so on. Sunday and Monday (Saturday’s and Sunday’s production) are usually the days that show little to no new VINs. Not quite sure why only 24 new are showing today (Monday’s releases)… Failcat isn’t perfect and very well could have missed some, or Kia could have had a slow day (company holiday? Parts shortage? Who knows)

Good info! Thanks! I ordered an SX in glacial white with butterscotch interior on 10-11-21. Was told about a 10 week turnaround! We shall see!

10 weeks!! Where did you order from?

Wow. Many people now are being told 10 months! 10 weeks would be a miracle! Unless they alley have one coming in around that time

The difference between dealership timetables is crazy. My friend ordered a Telluride from Gerald Kia in Naperville in early October. Hers is estimated to arrive on 12/18, two days before mine ordered on 7/23. She's going to end up paying $3000 over MSRP on it though.

Mine has a $2000 over MSRP! I have noticed the time differences from a few months to up to 10 months! Crazy!

Interesting. I went to Gerald Kia in North Aurora and got a quote of $7,000 over MSRP. So I guess if you pay up, you can get them faster. Likely because the queue in front of you is smaller at those dealers. Luckily, I’m not in a hurry, so went with a dealer at MSRP. But it’ll be a longer wait.

Waiting for my VIN to pop up and checking Failcat (way) too often.

I find it odd how often it skips #'s in the VIN sequence...why the gaps?

What dealer did you go to that gave it to you at MSRP?
