Made total sense so I went out and washed the interior windshield with watered down alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Still does it. Actually it is very apparent when the windshield is wet on the inside.Sounds like some kind of interior cleaner over spray. Have you tried cleaning it to see if that removes them?
Welcome.Has anyone else experienced this? My windows fog up easily, especially the windshield. When it does there are dots visible like it's a defect in the windshield that's only visible when defrosting is needed.
I have the same problem with my Kia Sportage. It is not dirty, it is some imperfection in the glass. It is only seen when things steam up. Never seen something like this before. I went back to the dealer and we are trying to claim under warranty. We steamed up a new unsold car and it is apparent on its windshield as well. Something about how the windshield was made....I have read many concerns about this. Not sure how the manufacturer makes the window to cause this issue.
Any chance you could post a picture? I find it had to believe it’s a defect and not something that can be cleaned off the glass. Plenty of potential tips and options if I could see what you’re referring too.Thank your for your reply. It's a weird problem to have. But not a huge deal, I guess.
100% agree. The dots are there from the manufacturing / installation process. Suggest using a wet "Magic Eraser" (Mr. Clean or other brand) to gently clean the interior glass. The eraser will not scratch the glass. These are not glass imperfections…most of the time. They are usually caused by the suction cups that manufactures use to set the glass…if you’re talking about 2-3 2” circles near the center of the glass. I would try cleaning the glass with a “grease cutter” soap, like dawn, in water solution. If you are talking about many circles I’d refer back to polarized glasses or making sure your HVAC settings are correct.
I have the same problem. The weird thing is is I didn't think it was like this in the beginning I only have 12,000 miles on my Telluride ( This car seems to have a host of problems )I have the same problem with my Kia Sportage.
