• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have 21 SXP Black Cherry NFE and noticed door trim around windows is looking poor. Almost like NFE is coming off. Kia Carriage of Woodstock in GA told me that they have a technical process in place due to others having similar. I have appt there and a Kia rep comes out and takes photos to determine, get ready, if the problem is big enough for replacement on a 10k car. Just asking if anyone has gone thru this or have similar issues.

Please update after you have had your appointment. Carriage of Woodstock is also where I take my NFE for service, so I am very interested to see how they respond and what solutions they provide.

Update, Kia Corp inspector looked over car and ordered complete replacement of all trim around windows. Dealer very good and I asked if they had done this before with trim. He said yes, but only once he knew. I tried to convince the inspector that all the trim came off the running boards, but he declined while laughing. I even asked if he and dealer would split the replacement costs for Canada's dark version, still a no. I tried

Thanks for the update - much appreciated! I will probably contact them after the new year and see what they will do for me.

Curious is yours Black or Black Copper?

Black

I'm taking delivery of a NFE soon and I'm concerned about this issue as well. How do they know the replacement trim won't have the same issue?

Are you saying the trim used on shipments to Canada are different than the ones use on USA versions? That surprises me.

I think the trim is the same however, Canada offers factory optioned blacked out running boards that US suppliers don't. He was joking/negotiating for those.

I’m sitting at my Kia dealership now waiting for my nightfall trim to be replaced. It’s covered under warranty. I’ve been here for over 5 hours now. I know they had to replace back windows. Haven’t seen my Kia yet.

Do they guarantee the replacement trim won't have the same issue? I'm wondering if others that got the replacement trim are experiencing any issues.

There's inconsistency across the dealerships. You were told it's covered under warranty, but in this thread, owners with this problem are getting hosed on this issue: Window trim flaking - Exp NF trim flaking off

They didn’t say anything about a guarantee. I was there for almost 6 hours and when they told me my vehicle is ready, they also told me that two parts were on back order. I was not happy. Now I have to go back again.

I will update on my service visit but I have already got a loaner car setup bc can't be there all day. I also have a strong wind noise that they have to repair. I will also ask about warranty on replacement. They are good peeps so don't anticipate any issues.
