• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Even with Nightfall edition, the new Kia logo (KN) is still silver!

I've been seeing many people using overlay stickers (matte or glossy), but you can still see little bit of silver around the overlay sticker.

Meanwhile, Plasti Dip will give you matte black result.

If you modified the logo, what did you do? What would give the best result?

I used hyper dip and have been really impressed with the results.

Did you use just regular black (matte)? How many cans did you use for your front and rear?
The Piano Black HyperDip is a glossy black which should match the "Telluride" letters in the back more closely. I have a can but I need to wait until Spring for the proper weather conditions to achieve the best results. A single can should be plenty for the front and rear emblems.

I used Piano Black HyperDip. It was easy to use and I haven't had any issues with it peeling. However, I am careful when washing it to avoid scrubbing it or hitting the pressure washer directly on it. Been on for about five months now.

I used plasti dip and put the glossifier on top. Not too hard once you get used to the product and it has been very durable for me over 3 months or so.

I only used the Piano Black Hyperdip.
You did an awesome job!
Did you just use 1 can for both front and rear? How many coats?

Where did you get the hyperdip? I can't find anywhere but regular plasti dip!

I suspect hyperdip and plasti dip are about the same in terms of coverage. One can did my front/rear logos with plenty to spare. In fact I re-did both logos, each time with 6 coats, and I still have almost half a can left.

Yep as others said, piano black is the way to go. One can is plenty. It’s very humidity temperamental so conditions have to be right for application. Watch the video the guy does for right technique/waiting time etc.
Piano Black HyperDip® Aerosol
Video is on that site too

I like the new logo. Think it looks good when blacking out the back, but it looks bad IMO when completely blacked out in the grill. I like how the overlay shows a bit of chrome around the edges for the front badge.

@keited It's been 5-6 months now since I applied the HyperDip. I can't remember how many coats but I basically followed their instructions and watched their videos. I only purchased one can and it was plenty and then some. At the time it was only available directly from HyperDip's website.

Did you actually use any of "PreDip" spray and "DipCoat Protective Spray" after applying the dip? Thank you for the help!

I think Hyperdip for this application is a bit overrated. The area is small enough that Plastidip with a glossifier provides pretty much the same results and it is much easier to get (local Home Depot for most).

As mentioned, I only used the Piano Black Hyperdip. No other products were used.

You don’t even have to leave the house to find Hyper Dip as they ship fast and it’s all in one can instead of having to do two so I wouldn’t say Plasti dip is easier…
Having used both I have to say the Hyper Dip is the better product but to each their own.

I used the overlay and I really like the look with the chrome edge. Very easy to install.

Do you think the Shadow Black would have matched the flatness of the black in the grill better?
