Order to delivery time

We just placed an order with Keffer Kia 3 days ago. I wish we had went somewhere else. Before coming in I called to see what their markup was over MSRP. I was first told 7k over, but their lead time seemed the "fastest" at 30-90 days. When we went in we were told the markup "changed" to almost 10k over... This was just one red flag. I am hoping the rest of the process is a smooth one. *fingers crossed* So, NO, Keffer is not taking orders at MSRP!

Considering they get about 10 Tellurides a month, I wouldn't count on even 90 days, let alone 30. Perhaps their mark-ups are driving people away so you could possibly get picked up in KFOS quickly.

I ordered at i25 and was given 1/28/2022 eta as welll back on Dec 8th but was told on Dec 16th the new eta is 2/18/2022. I asked about a week ago if there was a VIN yet and they didn’t have one. Been looking on Failcat and my exact order was on there once but it was the day I found out my eta so I doubt it was mine. I feel like you should have a VIN by now if your date hasn’t changed. Some other people in here who had our dates were moved back also

Exciting news! Just received a call from my dealer today stating my car is set to deliver today and be ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon.

Original Order date: 11.8.2021 with ETA of 3-4 months
Ordered: 2022 SX NightFall Ebony Black/Butterscotch
Pickup Date: 1.20.2022 (week earlier than eta of 1.28.2022)

I never saw my order in Failcat.

You are very lucky because it's very rare to get yours that fast. I ordered mine the month before that and still haven't got an ETA sounds like I'm still 17th in line which is crazy at the dealership I'm using.

Feeling very lucky with the quick delivery time regarding ordering.

IDK if it had any effect on making my order a priority or not, but when i originally placed my nonrefundable downpayment at the dealership it was for a Telluride that was "unclaimed" in the system set to come in a week later. I received a call the following week stating that this car was claimed but never marked in the system and i would need to order.

Blessing in disguise ended up getting the exterior and interior colors my wife and i preferred.

So far so good. Hoping that the end of the deal goes smoothly. I can report back after we get the car and go through the financing and such. Was MSRP for local buyers like myself. I think there may be a markup for others.

I see a lot of people mentioning high volume dealers and posting how many telluride they get in a month etc how does someone access that info? Ordered one from Lev Kia in Framingham ma and curious what they’re volume looks like.

If you look on failcat you can see the number of tellurides each dealership gets. It's crazy how many some California dealerships get. It's double what the highest tx volume dealer gets.

Same here, Sept 14 2019 ordered from Jake Sweeney, white w/ Dune and NPT package. Last I heard was it was in the manufacturers queue waiting to be picked up.

I think I am a little behind you (I ordered mid-October from Jake Sweeney). Assuming you meant Sept 2021. Haha. I was told in late December that mine was in the manufacturer's queue as well.

I think this is like snipe hunting. These mythical telluride creatures are rumored to exist but you never actually catch one. For the deposit, you just get to imagine seeing a magical telluride for many months till you realize it’s a myth. Think I’ll go find the end of a rainbow next month.

Does anyone know the average time it takes each Telluride to reach the dealership from the factory? I'm in PA and my Telly shipped on earlier this week.. perhaps on the 17th or 18th with an estimate arrival of February 4. Just wondering if it will arrive sooner than that.

Interior and exterior color don't generally impact your delivery time. The factory has all the paints and all the leathers. It's not a significant factor.

On the other hand, nobody here has clear understanding of how they queue up cars for dealer delivery even after KFOS acceptance. As people have noted, you can have two orders at the same dealer made on the same day with ETAs 30 days apart. There is an element of randomness to this. I got my car in 3 months, someone who ordered a day after me took two months longer.
