What is the wait time fir Telluride SXL in Greater Toronto area

I booked Telluride SXL onn15 Nov with expected delivery on or before 15Apr 22. Is there a possibility it can come sooner? Anyone who has picked one recently and wishes to share the experience? How does one know that their car is in production?

Anyone from Canada on the forum looking for the same answers? Called Kia Canada but they refuse to give any answer regarding the process, deposits, cancellation etc. and asked to refer to dealership who are as much in dark as I am (or pretend to be in the dark).

If you keep your order simple/mainstream like black on black you might get it sooner.

I think optio s like grey nepa take the longest.

I got my 2021 black SX in 6 weeks.

I ordered an SXL in Sangria Nov. 12 out of Belleville Ontario with about the same time frame.
Nothing yet buy try a thread on this board called 'sightings in Canada'. Some good info and stories there

2022 Sightings in Canada?

I ordered on Sept 16th but was told 2,3,4 months but I think its looking like sometime in the new year. I don't think the dealership really know when they expect them to come in. same here, dealer gave me around that timeframe.

when you went to purchase a Telluride, did you find that dealers seemed indifferent and never called you back? This is the first time I have experienced this with any sales person when buying a car, but it seems to be consistent across a number of dealers in the GTA.

Not GTA, but Canada still. I ordered in Bridgewater, NS Dec. 10/21 and I received an e mail today that it’s been manufactured and in the shipping process.

I wasn’t really expecting or even ready for it until April/May so I waspretty surprised to hear that it had been manufactured already. For what it’s worth, the salesman I dealt with mentioned that there were issues getting grilles and mouldings for the higher spec’d trim levels.

I don't know if the dealership we ordered from is a high volume dealer or not and how many orders are ahead of us. I guess I can contact the salesman and ask, other scenario is if someone pulls out of their deal and had the spec I ordered.

We ordered a Telluride EX in early April, and we were told to expect a wait of 8-10 months. The salesman did mention that if we were lucky, we would be getting a 2023 model instead of 2022, and curiously, when I asked if "something happened" during the wait for the SUV (and we changed our mind), could we get our deposit back, they said absolutely - So they don't really care if you end up buying it or not, as there are always customers who will take your place in line! BTW, we are in Ottawa.

Ordered mine late Nov 2021 (White SXL with light grey interior), still waiting for it. The expected date has been delay a few times and now showing August 2022. I'm kinda hoping for the 2023 model because it has a lot of improvements (based on the leaked designs)

I had booked mine in November 2021 as well and it just got picked up last week. I opted for SXL in Gravity grey. And it is 2022 model. I ended up paying 2% more for financing rate and additional for price increase.
