First, the order needs to transfer from kdealer to KFOS. Happens once a month
You then get your first ETA
The VIN is not generated until it goes into paint.
The dealer will/should have the VIN before it shows up (if it does) in failcat.

Sadly, mine was scheduled for tomorrow; but now pushed back another week. Wish it was early; but expected delays with the latest weather conditions across the country.

Quick question! Do the dealers find out ahead of time if the in transit eta is going to be sooner or later than expected? Or once it’s in transit do they not get any updates until it’s delivered?

Depend on where you are at in the Country compared to Plant. For example once a Telluride leaves and comes to me in DFW area. It is always 2-3 day turnaround. If one leaves the plant and goes via Rail(train) and then Truck then ETA can move around even after it is in transit.

My husband heard back from Fowler Kia yesterday about our EX Telluride Wolf Gray N/T/P, we ordered back on 12/16/2021. We have an estimated arrival date to the dealership of 3/28/2022, then it will be shipped to us in AZ. My question, and forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this question, but does this mean my vehicle should be able be found in Failcat right now? Should I have a VIN number by now if we have the estimated arrival date to dealership?
