My husband heard back from Fowler Kia yesterday about our EX Telluride Wolf Gray N/T/P, we ordered back on 12/16/2021. We have an estimated arrival date to the dealership of 3/28/2022, then it will be shipped to us in AZ. My question, and forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this question, but does this mean my vehicle should be able be found in Failcat right now? Should I have a VIN number by now if we have the estimated arrival date to dealership?

You will not have a VIN until it goes into paint, which is approximately one month before your ETA. Don't expect a VIN until the end of the month,

First, the order needs to transfer from kdealer to KFOS. Happens once a month
You then get your first ETA
The VIN is not generated until it goes into paint.
The dealer will/should have the VIN before it shows up (if it does) in failcat.

It's been on order with a deposit since 11-9-21 and they have no information.

When you put a deposit, it goes into kdealer. It is sitting there until KIA transfers it to KFOS. The dealer has no control over that, therefore they have no information

I have contacted the dealership a few times throughout including yesterday. I get the same answer which is we currently have no information. Is this normal? Too bad you can't use the Kia Access app. Once you get the free one year access, you can easily track your Telluride's location, the opening/closing of the doors/rear hatch/front hood, etc. My 2021 Telluride S currently is at a collision shop after hitting a deer (which I detail in THIS thread), but was outside for some time in a holding lot waiting for parts. But several days ago, I started getting notifications (several) in the app that the doors were unlocked (which means they were opened and closed and not locked). Then I could see in the app that the front hood was open. This of course means that it's now in the shop getting worked on. Yeah!
