If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have been waiting to get a good side by side shot of my wolf grey 21 EX next to a bone stock of any trim. I have installed the M&S lowering springs as well as put 22 wheels with 245/30 (wrong size but gonna run them till need new ones). I wanted to see just how much lower these 2 items made me compared to stock. Here is the result I think it's quite a significant drop for just being springs. I don't keep anything stock I have to try and stand out a little. Let me know your thoughts and opinions

There is still plenty of room up front under the car. I would love to get airbags but that's out of my price range for now.

I’d like to see a side view of your Telly. Can you post a couple of pictures. It looks like you have done additional work to your car and I’m sure it looks good. Do the airbags that you mentioned let you control the height of the car? I have an order on a black ebony/dune interior SX prestige coming in on April 4th, and I keep on thinking that the backend needs to be dropped a little.

Well, by buying the wrong size tires, you have a setup that is very nearly 2” in diameter off from stock. So you lowered your car by an extra 1” just by putting those tires on it.

Plus, your speedometer is now reading high by 5 mph by the time you get to 70.

To answer the question about airbags YES they let you control the height of the vehicle, another big benefit is that when/if you tow something it helps out with the bounce of the trailer as well as the stability of the vehicle. Think of it like semi trucks cause they run an airbag system on those. As far as additional work done to the car most of it right now is cosmetic stuff really, if you see something in the picture you are curious about just ask and I will explain what all I've done

You are correct about both things. I originally wanted to see what it looked like as low as I could with just the springs. If I'm right they only dropped me approximately 1.75"-2" and since I can't afford the airbags any time soon this is my only avenue. But I will be going with a larger tire when these wear out because I would like to fill up the fender gap more and have a some more on the sides incase a curb or pothole magically appear. You are also right about the speedo being off. I need to call KIA and see if there is a way to calibrate the speedo to the new wheels and tire size but that will come with the new tires. Out of curiosity what site did you find that tire comparison chart on that will definitely come in handy later on if not for myself but others on this forum too.

It’s this site. It’s almost always the top result of you Google “tire size comparison.”

I would imagine you’ll bend or even crack your rims by the time your tires wear out. I’m in Pittsburgh and wouldn’t risk with that setup. Hopefully you live in a place with better roads.

Phew, those are some *skinny* tires. Do they seem to transmit more detail from the pavement condition, or is there still enough room for the tires to absorb that? I'm curious about the ability to recalibrate the speedometer/odometer settings. That would be a cool feature, but I'm going to guess that KIA won't allow it, as it could give nefarious owners the ability to fudge the actual mileage on their vehicles. Not that anyone would ever do such a thing...

Our roads in North Carolina are a little better than up north but not by much. I've been up around Maryland and New Jersey a few times making the mistake to drive a lowered VW Golf and needless to say yall dont have potholes you have legitimate sunkholes in the middle of the roads. So its kinda funny you should mention the possibility of bends or crack. I just took it in for my routine oil change and the tech pointed out that I had one wheel that was bent and possibly crack. I have since swapped back to stock wheels and ordered some new tires which are en route. I went with what I had because I was unsure about how everything would fit and look with lowering it and didn't want to run the risk of damaging anything. But my lesson has been learned the hard way. Luckily for me I didn't go with outrageously expensive wheels to begin with and replacing one didn't break the bank.

The skinny tires did transmit the detail of the pavement a little more but I would still say it wasn't as harsh of a ride as my wife's 2015 Honda CR-V. I may be wrong but if the wheel/tire size on the Telluride is anything like when I change the sprocket size on my motorcycle with the speedo being as off as it was it would actually change the mileage on the odometer. I'm not 100% sure if the odometer on the Tellurides are run off the wheels or transmission. Would be nice to find out though, and I would have been okay if it was only able to be calibrated at the dealer just so I wouldn't have to be guessing at my speed. That ups the risk for speeding tickets and I've been doing good recently lol
