If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Is this the new norm now from KIA to tack on an additional ~$300 to all orders? We ordered Dec 4th SX Pre NF w/ Tow Wolf Gray ETA March 2nd. Has anyone else out there experienced this? We were told by the sales rep that this is coming direct from corporate and they have added appx. $300 to all Tellurides.

I sure hope that doesn't happen to me. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. The wait is killing me. ;) Considering I am paying a markup I'd personally not agree to it. Did they contact you about the price bump by itself?

It's the price increase that happened January 1st.

Oh then I probably already signed agreeing to it.

I just noticed this yesterday as well. Looks like my sticker for the car I hope to pick up in the next few days was one price at the dealer while another car that just showed up on failcat that is almost the same exact vehicle has a base price increase of ~$300. How my vehicle got in under the wire (both were built after Jan 1st - though the dealer may have ordered it prior to 1/1/22), I don't know, but I appreciate the fact that it did.

Was there any reasoning given behind the increase? How common is it to have a base price increased mid/end of cycle?

I ordered in December too....and told later about the added $300???
Do you have a ETA date for your Telle?

Theres been a price increase from KIA every January for the past few years I've been paying attention. It's just when they decide to implement the increase, not necessarily on a model year release. So you could be driving a '22 model from a few months ago cheaper than a '22 you drive off the lot today. Nothing new
Rebates and incentives (if there are any available anymore on these things) will be applied at time of delivery, not when you ordered. Unless you have an agreement in place from your dealer at time of order to receive the greatest value rebate at time of delivery which is rare. GL

I just requested my purchase agreement for the financing piece and they came back with a higher base price and decided to automatically charge me for the stupid wheel locks lol.

What I'm confused about is how you can two of the exact same builds on Failcat, the same date, (today), and the Base Price and Freight increased $330 on only one.

That's an excellent question for your dealer if they are in fact the EXACT same build just different VIN. Or a dealer rep on here may be able to clarify. The price increases went into effect a while ago so not sure why there's a discrepancy today.

*Update* Price increase is on the base price of vehicles on the first of the year but looks like window stickers on FC didn't start getting hit with the increase until the second week of February. The $30 increase was on the handling charge going from $1,225 to $1,255 the remaining increase is from the taxes.
