I purchased the Ex AWD with towing package...was I supposed to received any sort of towing harness?
“Harness” refers to the 4-wire connection from the trailer to the vehicle’s wiring. It’s the bundle of wires that tell the trailer lights left, right, and stop.I purchased the Ex AWD with towing package...was I supposed to received any sort of towing harness?
Depends on your state laws but you may be limited to trailers under 3,500 lbs. There is a bunch of info on various threads on this forum on some shortcomings of the Kia tow options.Ok, so that would be part of any trailer I may be pulling correct? Sorry for the ignorance, haven't towed much and only got just "in case"
.
The harness would already be installed on the vehicle. This would be a 4 pin plug that is next (to the left) of your hitch. This is what your 4 pin trailer harness would plug into. You will be required to stay under the weight limits, without trailer brakes, required for the state you are driving in. Unless the trailer has surge brake system, this 4 pin harness will not accommodate trailer brakes.I purchased the Ex AWD with towing package...was I supposed to received any sort of towing harness?
