Today I needed to use the Telly for the first time in 9 days, I walked outside carrying 2 heavy boxes secured in the knowledge that the rear gate would open, except it didn't. I walked to the driver's door and the mirrors did not swing out, the car is not reacting to the fob at all. I was "aggravated" by now, I put down the boxes and pressed the unlock button in the fob, door would not unlock. I walked away from the car, came back mirrors swing out and finally I unlock all doors with a double-press on door handle, I opened the rear hatch with the button on the hatch door and put boxes away.
The car started flawlessly without hesitation, I thought it was all over, except it wasn't, upon start I confirmed I was the driver and the display indicated that it was connected to my phone, my mom calls me and I could not pickup call with the steering control so I had to take phone out of my pocket while driving. After finishing the call my phone locks up and it would not respond to a restart (now I am really pissed). When I got home I did a hard reboot of my phone and had to manually reconnect to car (add a phone) and it worked alright. The smart tailgate feature would not work, I had to turn it off and then turn it back on and it started to work properly.
I cannot say for sure that not driving the car for 9 days caused the problem, but it seemed like the car totally forgot who I was and I had to reset some functions from scratch. Maybe I am over reacting but for the first time since I brought the car home I was really angry with the car and the technology that was built into it.
I am done venting.
