• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I updated the Nav software today on our '22 SX, and everything works fine except that the map background is black, regardless of the color I chose.
Has anyone seen this before? The only thing I can think of is to do another download/ update, but that means another couple of hours effort. Any thoughts?

Maybe there is something on the dash covering the lights sensor, so that the system thinks it nighttime.

Are you referring to the actual map app, or the home screen? The color you choose (one of four now) only affects the map app. It doesn’t affect the home screen.

Map app (black map):

Home screen (same no matter what)

It's the map that has the black background. There are 4 possible colors, including black, but only black shows up.
I understand the Home Screen has just one color.

You could always try doing an infotainment system reset with the pinhole by the volume knob.

Or, it could potentially be the ambient light sensor thing… but you would have noticed that before updating (except it would have been even more confusing as black wasn’t an option at the time). Are your lights on when they probably shouldn’t be?

Well 'Pappy' wins the prize. Although my garage is well lit, the car disagreed. More light change the color.
Rookie mistake.

Was your map screen able to change colors prior to the update?
