• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My '22 SXP Nightfall was just delivered and so far, so good -- except for an extremely high pitched noise that I'm hearing almost constantly when I'm behind the wheel. I do a lot of music/audio production and do have sensitive ears, but I'm thinking this can't just be normal. It's not wind noise, as it's equally present when the car is idling or driving at any speed. It sounds like an electrical whine at somewhere between 14-15 khz. It isn't loud, but it's driving me a little crazy. I'll try to record it with my phone, but seriously doubt my iphone's mic will be able to pick it up.

I searched on this forum and found references to screeching belt noises on cold starts, and wind noise, but haven't seen this discussed anywhere. Has anyone else encountered this or have any suggestions?

Tried to record it with my iPhone. It's an electrical whine that is present when the ignition is on, and whether or not the engine is running, or the car is moving. It seems louder at times when the vehicle is on the road.

Also, it varies in volume depending on the height of your ears (or microphone in this case). Moving up and down/side to side will cause it to come in and out in volume -- possibly depending on the angle it's bouncing off the windshield (?).

I can hear it in your video. Have you tried turning off climate controls to see if it is vent related?

Does it happen when your music controls are muted? Or depending on what source you are on? I have heard similar frequencies from aux cable ground loop noise. Maybe bad/loose speaker connections to the head unit.

I’m thinking maybe loose connection with the Harmon Kardon system. Not vent related, for sure. I think it’s getting worse. Definitely taking it in to the dealer.

In my case, when I first got my Telluride last June, I noticed some noise (a little bit like your recording) that I later realized the radio was on. It was static noise from the radio.

Did you ever figure out what the issue was? Our car is doing the same exact thing and driving me crazy

I can't hear anything in the video, tbh. However, I did notice on mine a high pitch whir that took me a while to figure out the source. Turns out it was the seat ventilation. When it's on, sounds like there's a blower near the rear driver's side of the vehicle that produces a high pitched sound.

Would love to know if this was resolved and what it was, my Telluride is doing the same thing.
Thank you.

Just curious, are the vented seats in the front or rear on? I had a similar situation and thought I was going crazy until I realized the passenger seat vents were on! lol
