• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Greetings Telluride users. I looking at purchasing a new T-Ride and spend the majority of my time with both back windows rolled down so my big Old English Sheep Dog can enjoy the breeze. My 2011 Sorento is as quiet as a mouse, but my new 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan is horrible. It resonates so bad it nearly pops your ears. It's virtually undriveable with the windows down. I CAN NOT make this mistake again. Can some of you take your T-Ride out for a spin, with the back windows rolled down, and let me know how it responds under 40-45 MPH? Thanks.

Yes it resonates. Can be alleviated by cracking open front windows or sunroof if equipped.

Thanks for the report. So, on a scale from 1-10, with 10 being unbearable, how would you rate it? I expect a small amount. My 2011 Sorento is about a 2, my new VW Tiguan is off the charts.

Most SUVs do this. Like mentioned you have to open other windows.

Depends on your tolerance. Very subjective. I'm sure a test drive will answer this question for you.
