• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'm going to hit 60K and planning on changing transmission, rear and center fluids.

What grades of fluid do I need to do the jobs ?
Or am I overthinking changing these this soon.
I haven't towed anything yet and she mainly does highway driving to and from work and road trips.

Thanks 🤙

I get a my transmission serviced on my truck every 25k to 30k miles. Which intails replacing all the fluid.

Have you completed changing your fluids? I'm curious to know if you took any pics or can share more info on how you did it.

No I have not but have been meaning to it. My honey do list keeps getting longer and longer .

Now that I have thought about this post, I just resolved to do all the Telluride’s maintenance ahead of the owners manual schedule! Since I have been changing its oil every 3-4k miles anyway. This is something new to me since I bought the Telluride last summer. All my other vehicles’ oil changes were done between 5-10k. Although I have been aggressive with other fluid changes with all my vehicles—coolant, transfer case, transmission and power steering (all are within my ability)—I average 12-14 years ownership, it’s just a matter of continuing that practice. And oh, don’t neglect the PCV, spark plugs and engine air filter! All, including the fluids, are interconnected (anti-emission) and would affect the engine’s performance and longevity. Simply put, most of these (if not all) are to decrease (you cannot eliminate it entirely) oxidation/hydrocarbon formation as byproduct of fuel. Thanks.

Anything new?
