If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... **UNOFFICIAL** 2023 Model Lines, Colors and Options

I could see it. With SX markups at $5k - $10k in much of the country, Kia may figure it makes sense to absorb those “market adjustments“ back into the MSRP. The revamped product line would provide an opportunity to do this.
The PR blowback from a mainstream, non-luxury make's instituting a $5k-$10k price hike over just one model year would be immense. Kia would be accused of price gouging, war profiteering, exploiting and aggravating inflation, screwing over their customers, etc. Trim designation changes would not be nearly enough to defend such a markup. These are still Tellurides, and the top trims really don't differ that much from year to year.

Moreover, if Kia pulled a stunt like that, Hyundai would have to follow suit, or most customers would just shift to the cheaper twin. I've seen apparently well-informed speculation in a Palisade forum that the Calligraphy will be increasing by only $1500-$2000 for 2023.

I don’t see any package with LED headlights Upgrade. Does it mean it will come standard across the trim levels?

What is Prestige mean again? I was stuck with an EX model since I need the bench seating. What was unfortunate is that I could not get some features that were important such as the surround camera 360 because that was only available on the SX trim. SX only offered captain chairs which didn’t work. So because I don’t want captains chairs, I couldn’t get 360 cameras. Doesn’t seem like they changed it.

Any info on Sorento PHEV 2023? Colors/options?

The second-row bench seat is probably a low-popularity feature on the Telluride, so I suppose Kia sees no need to increase the overall pool of bench seat versions of the vehicle. If every possible combination of features could be ordered, there would be no point to having trims at all; each vehicle would be ordered from scratch in an a la carte manner. That would obviously be a nightmare for manufacturers, but I'm not sure that it would be great for customers either. Choice overload would probably frustrate many buyers. And the already extreme delivery delays would only increase.

That said, I think that alternative SUVs do offer a bench seat option on trims that include the full camera system, e.g., the Nissan Pathfinder and the Jeep Grand Cherokee L.

What did the original Nightfall edition cost?

It appears that XLine is the new Nightfall and only blacked out cosmetics. Not sure if that’s only exterior aesthetics or interior aesthetics?

It’s $1695 option

One thing they need to do is match the interior of the seat color with the interior of the A pillar and roof. I hate it when the seats are, say black, but the a pillar and roof is beige. Or do they offer matching colors on the SX only?

Nightfall was $1,395. This article looks old but seems like that price is ballpark what I would expect.

It’s interesting that to get the EX in AWD, they force you to get the XLine. There’s no EX AWD option without XLine but there is a SX AWD option without XLine!

Do you guys know besides the captains chairs and surround view / blind spot camera, what am I losing by going with the EX instead of the SX?

So on the EX, there isn’t a blind spot monitor light on the side mirror? The light that pops up when a car is driving past you?

What’s terracotta interior on the EX AWD?

As I’m sure you know by reading these forums Kia has not released detailed specs for each trim on the 2023. So no one knows what will/will not be included.

On the 22s, the EX does have the blind spot monitoring on the mirrors but it does not have the video monitoring on the gauge cluster.

For the 22s you’re also missing the dual sunroof in the EX and amber DRLs unless you go premium package, which as you know then includes buckets. Also miss out on 20” wheels unless you go nightfall or premium.

For terracotta, no one knows exactly what it looks like yet but if you Google “terracotta” you’ll get an idea.

My concern is that we really want the EX with a 2nd row bench and AWD. Here's hoping they don't do away with that as an option. From what I have read, the X-Line only has captain chairs...

Where did you read that the XLine only has
Captains chairs?

All signs point to it. X-Line is the replacement for the Nightfall package, which was only available on trims with captains chairs.

Plus, if you see in the information in the first post on this thread, the X-Line doesn’t have any packages to suggest that bench seating is standard or even available on those trims.

I agree that it seems logical based on all info I have seen in press releases. I really just hope we still have an option for an EX AWD with a 2nd row bench. The way I read the options above, the current prediction is that there is no option for AWD with a 2nd row bench.

Kia is ridiculous to force customers to buy captains chairs on AWD higher models and XLine. They should allow different configurations. XLine is purely aesthetics. So why force 7 seat with captain chairs just because you want a black-out package on the exterior? Either that or offer bench seating on SX package with XLine.

I‘m basically going to get whatever trim I have to in order to get the surround view monitor option plus heated seats. Hopefully that doesn’t mean SX but if it does I’m going to go with the X-Pro. Otherwise I would be inclined to go S or EX.

Very few of the features matter to me and I would have been happy with an LX if it had those features available. I had an order on a 22 S model but the dealer hosed me with a last minute $6k markup so I told them to pound sand.

I know they have their reasons, but a lot of the value add featured are actually a negative for me, sunroof in particular. I also have a strong preference for smaller wheels, which is why I would go X-Pro model if I have to have SX for surround view. It’s a shame (from my perspective) that the X-line comes with the larger wheel size.

That’s exactly why I think Kia configuration lack of options make it inflexible.
