• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone with a UVO subscription tried using the car without the fob?

Is that even possible? I think the fob needs to be with you when the vehicle starts, right?

On 2020-22 models, the only way to get the ignition into the “on” state is with the fob itself being present.

If you start the car with the key fob inside and then get out, it should run without the key fob until the engine is turned off. If you start the car with the UVO app, you will need the key fob to open the door. If the key fob is not sensed inside the car within a few seconds, the engine will turn off. When I got my windows tinted, the installer back my car out when it was ready. I hopped in, put the car in drive and immediately got a message that the fob was not inside the vehicle.
