• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all,

Unfortunately after waiting for 6 months for what I thought was going to be an incredible & reliable vehicle has been nothing short of a nightmare. Wondering if anyone has dealt with a similar situation. I picked up my 2022 telluride at the end of February & was in love! That was until the begging of June we noticed a small oil leak on the garage floor. Called our dealership & was able to get in mid June to be looked at where were told it needed a valve replacement. We were told it would be there for 2 days since they had to order the parts, two days turned into a week when we were then told we needed a full motor replacement due to a factory defect. Car has 4K miles on it. It has now been in the shop for over 7 weeks & we’ve been getting the run around & lied to by both our dealership & corporate who told us last week they would be buying the vehicle back. My state has a 30 day out of service lemon law, obviously we are well past that. Unfortunately Kia corporate never followed through with this & is now ignoring all of our phone calls & emails so we aren’t able to get the process moving. Our dealership isn’t returning our phone calls. I realize I may be one of the few going through this while everyone else has trouble free Tellurides but I’m wondering if anyone else has gone through this & what their outcome was. I would never buy a Kia again not because of the vehicle, because of the horrendous customer service. Being ignored & being lied to all while paying on a brand new vehicle that I haven’t been able to drive in almost two months is unacceptable.

First time i'm hearing this type of a problem with Telluride; motor replacement, what was factory defect?
I guess it can happen to anybody with any brand (similar thing happened to me with brand new VW Atlas and their corporation handled it so professionally and took the car back with refunding all the money we paid for 6 months we had)
I'm sorry you going through this and KIA is not handling it right, that is sad and hopefully they will do the right thing ASAP.
Please update us (sometimes dealers fault not claiming or reporting the right way) if that is the case deal with KIA directly.

Make someting happen. Laywer up and let someone with experience get it resolved. I'm sure you'll sleep better knowing someone is working on your behalf.
