• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Here is some Marketing news (Emmys are September 12).

"But Kia knows it has a winner, and it’s investing in the Telluride’s continued success with a new creative campaign that will debut during the Emmy’s next month. Based on what we saw high in the Rockies recently, the Telluride’s awareness levels (and sales pace) will continue with the 2023 refresh and new TV commercial."

Geez, that lower front facia just looks like a satin silver gaping wide open mouth. 🤮

I've seen people change it to black and it looks much better that's what I'm planning on doing 😅

will HDA 2 be available on the 2023 Telluride now that it is confirmed available on the 2023 Palisade as shown on Palisade website Configurator
Yes it's already listed on the kia website as being available. The question is what trims. All trims or higher trims.

thank you so much for this info, i am feeling a little better on holding off for the 2023 telluride and giving up my spot when the car became available. The exterior is ....kind of weird

It's primarily the lower bumper fascia and the smaller headlights with lack of amber DRL/Turn signals. Other than that the '23 is an upgrade everywhere else. I'd do the upgrade if the used car market was still crazy but now it would cost too much to upgrade.

Agree with it being all around upgrade over 22s. I have mixed feelings about just finding out that my order will be a '22 with a September ETA. I really like a lot of the 23 details that have trickled out. I think if I could pass it up without resetting my place in line I'd probably do it, just not wanting to wait 6+ more months just to get a 23 over a 22.

Has anyone heard on timing updates from dealers or when the 2023 build will open on Kia’s website. Getting annoyed with our traverse :)
I'm getting annoyed with Kia for not speeding up the process! lol! I am dying to see all the options!!!

On the same boat with Sept ETA and might pass for a 23. I don't know if my place will be reset, only time will tell. Are you or anyone considering Palisade, if the wait times are huge?

I'm more than happy with the '22 model. Probably the ONLY thing I really really wanted from the '23 is the larger infotainment screen. 12" over 10" doesn't sound like much but since I converted my infotainment screen to what is basically an android tablet, I use it quite a bit. It's the one item I use the most.

USB-C ports aren't that big of a deal since it's the passengers that have to deal with that, not me. I have a fast charger in the 12v port in front so I can get fast charging that way.

Lane changing for HDA2 sounds nice but from HDA1 it isn't that hard to change lanes manually and let HDA lock back into lane assist anyway. It's not like the Tesla where you have to disengage, change lanes and then tap the stalk to engage again.

Wireless charging pad (again the USB-C port on the 12v charger I bought is more than adequate. Wireless charging pads in cars are very finicky with most phones where it will cause the phone to overheat and wireless charging will stop.

Still no confirmation if the '23 will get the auto park like the palisade and no idea what the new improved HUD will look like. You'll feel a little less unique because there are so many of the current tellurides out there but once you're driving it and if all is well, the car is enjoyable to drive and you won't even think about it. Well, maybe the smaller infotainment screen will bother you hahahaha

On the topic of passing, I can see it both ways. I can see a dealer saying they'll hold you place in line or I can see them saying "it's to the back of the line for you". For the '23 really the main thing for me was the digital dash, the upgraded driver assistance info, and possibly the new blue color (if I could find an accurate pic of it).

I did look at the Palisade as I found a dealer offering them just at MSRP. But the lack of power folding mirrors was a knock against them. The nail in the Palisade's coffin though was that the nearest dealer for service is one that ridiculously marks up all brands of vehicles they sell. They have Palisade at $10k over MSRP. I don't want to provide their service center with any profits and I wouldn't want to drive an extra 30 minutes each way to have the Palisade serviced. The local Kia dealer is much better and I've dealt with them before on a different brand, so I'll be happy to use their service center.

no idea what the new improved HUD will look like.
I saw an illustration of this somewhere; not sure if it was specifically the Telluride or the Palisade, but I assume the tech is the same on both models. Anyway, the 2023 display's greater resolution, i.e., higher pixel density, was visually noticeable, but seemed irrelevant. The HUD projects a few basic pieces of data to the driver in simple, discrete chunks; showing a slightly crisper image of 65 is unlikely to make a difference to the driver's comprehension. I also find the size of the current HUD display to be perfectly adequate, so I doubt that a slight available increase would matter (in fact, it might be counterproductive).

I'll grant that seeing a mock-up is not the same as actually driving with the new system, but my preliminary assessment is that this change is all well and good, but as far from essential as it's possible to get.

Is anyone aware of KIA Dealers starting to take orders for 2023 Telluride? Here in Chicago suburbs dealers are taking orders for 2023 with $2500 mark-up

Since pricing isn't announced and Kia isn't accepting orders for 2023's at this time, I assume the dealers must be taking orders for 2022's with a $2,500 mark up?

No 2022 is huge mark-up. This they are doing for 2023 - taking refundable deposit of $1000 with agreement of 2500 mark-up. They said there is no 2022 anymore going to be made. Only 2022 they can sell now is for which others cancelled their orders but vehicle already came in or about to arrive. He did say to expect 10-12 month wait for 2023.
