If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

If you are going for an S, I think the 2023 is going to be significantly better. You’ll have LED headlights, which might be the biggest upgrade of all. Plus you’ll have a bigger infotainment screen and a pseudo digital instrument cluster.
Yeah, I didn't even think about the headlights, but that is another great reason...

Worst timing ever. Dealership called me even though I haven't placed an order and have a 2022 Gravity Gray S that someone backed out on. With the improvements on the interior and not knowing the details with the new trims and colors, my heart is set on a 2023. The DRLs and exterior changes do not turn me off. Am I stupid to turn it down?

I’ve turned down a few that have been offered to me. They weren’t the right color and trim combo I was looking for. I did place an order and if that combo came in, I would take it since sangria is being discontinued. I don’t regret the decision since my car now is fine, but waiting on the 2023 has been hard. I am excited about the xline and the color options so that’s also holding me back from just getting a car to get a car .. even though i am going to check out the palisade now

I'm up in WA state. Around here Telluride markups start at $4k and go up to $10k depending on dealer. Even ordered Tellurides are min $3k over sticker. I looked all over WA, OR, ID and everyone has high markups.

For a Palisade though, I easily found a dealer in eastern WA that is selling just at MSRP +$600 in required 'security' options. I also was contacted by a more local dealer that used to have a $4k markup and they said they had reduced it to $1k now.

So, Palisade do seem to be easier to find at much lower markups or even at MSRP.
Thanks for the info! I’ve already agreed on a 2k markup for the Telluride but that combined with the wait is so hard! Just have my heart set on Telluride like lots of others!

Today is the day the info comes out to dealers, correct??

No, according to Stephen (posts 652-654 of this string) dealers actually received this information last Wednesday. However, it's under embargo and therefore they cannot release it just yet.

Dang! Thank you for clarifying. Also thought & hoped we'd get more info on the '23 today

Likely won’t be a lot of info out there till 9/12 when they debut the marketing ads for the Emmy’s

Fully agree. They're really dragging their feet

So how many people do they think actually watch the Emmys?

Do we know for sure if 2022 pick ups are closed now? I know some are still coming in.
I think if they are closed now for 2022 and just completing final orders - the October timeline does make sense for the factory turnovers. So maybe kfos opens in October and then we’ll start seeing them on lots December or January?

It definitely feels like it. We've had an order in since April (with the knowledge that MY23 was always a possibility) and are now top of dealer's order list. This week they said we're probably looking at MY23 (which may make our SX P/N Moss/Dune order tough to replicate).

KFO's have been closed since June, IIRC. 2022's continue to be picked up per Stephen in the Track my Vehicle thread. If they transition the plant to producing 2023's in October, I would expect first people will see them in November. Transition from 2022's to 2023's should be quick unless they are planning to upgrade the lines for the increased volume. None of the industry production publications show a shutdown for the plant. Because it's a midlevel refresh, it should be a quick transition for the line (hours-days vs weeks). Most of the changes are superficial, which means they grab the parts from rack B instead of rack A. All the attachment points will remain identical.

I think we should all move onto the next most important topic here -

What is everyone’s plan to address the new massive grey (and somewhat ugly) front skid plate plastic thing? I had an order in similar to @protozeoin with SX/MossGreen/espresso interior. I wonder just how terrible it will look… or will it be fine? Almost need someone with photoshop skills to help replicate some of the initial preview cars on the road with different color options

I'm willing to bet that grey portion is easily removeable w/o having to remove the entire bumper. You could remove it and wrap it or body color it. That should be an improvement.

I still can't wait to see what the non-X-Lines look like maybe it won't be the same but if it is I plan on just blacking it out with Plasti/Hyper dip as that is pretty easy to do.

My plan? Buy a Palisade (probably). The Palisade's improvements and the Telluride's worsening make choosing between them a very close call. Before, I was entirely in the Telly camp. Now? I'm straddling the line. I'm pretty sure I can get the Palisade in the exact specs and color I want by December, which might push it into the win column. I'm still waiting to see what these great new features are for the Telly, but I suspect they're the same things found on the new Palisade.

We’ve already seen them.

This is an S, and other non-X models will look similar based on spy shots and videos.

Kia..... Hitting the front end and rims with the big ugly stick . That bottom skirt looks offensive. If my 23 sx in dark moss looks this bad i might pass on this vehicle

New front end does look like crap, especially that grey thing at the bottom. Surely the X-Line and X-Pro vehicles will have all black trim?? Not crazy about those wheels either.

Does anyone know if the Telluride has fewer blind spots than the Palisade?? I have never driven either vehicle.

Yeah this model looks horrible. I'm hoping there's some premium package on the S that fixes some of this. We put in an order for an S for my wife and she hates how this looks. We're just waiting on 2023 trim details, but if it looks like that no matter the options, we'll probably end up with a Palisade.
