• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

That’s how it was packaged previously. The SX is the only one with the 360 camera for the 22 MY
It's annoyed me from day one. I had hoped it would be different moving forward. Most companies have some sort of standalone tech package that would include SVM. I would easily pay $2500 or more for a simple tech package that included certain advanced features. Somewhat ironically, the base model already includes almost everything you would normally see in one of those tech packages but for whatever reason SVM and blind spot view monitor were reserved for the SX trim (I assume because they require 2 or 3 additional cameras.

One other packaging change - the EX trim appears to be on 20" wheels now instead of 18" in the past. My existing order for a 22 at Fowler Kia is for an EX because I wanted bench seating plus 18" wheels plus heated seats.

In any event, now my choice is the S or spending $7k for something that has SVM and a bunch of other things, some of which are interesting but not important to me (ventilated seats, digital key, acoustic front windows, power folding mirrors) and a bunch of things I would rather forgo.

All in all, still a lot of value and there is a reason so many people get the SX trim. But personally, I would be a lot happier with a standalone tech package if not an individual SVM option. It's probably not a deal breaker for me so maybe I just live without SVM and call it a day.

One question for the crowd - do both X-Pro and X-Line include the self-leveling struts that seem to cause problems for some people? I would rather just get a regular trim and order the tow-hitch if that's the case. I just need a hitch for racks, not towing, and would rather avoid the chance of a problematic rear suspension for a feature that doesn't do anything for me.

So pretty much it is what we thought it was … a major downgrade on the exterior and no nightfall . I should probably start the process fighting for a refund on the deposit for our 22
Deposit is refundable with Kia dealers.

Not 100% true. It depends on the dealers. My deposit is non refundable.
How much is your deposit? Mine was $300 which they forgot to adjust during my purchase. They refunded me later.

It was $1000. I had no other choices since they are the only dealership selling at MSRP within 500 miles of my radius.

Based on that leaked information, it also looks like Kia has removed the heated steering wheel from EX-P and SX trims? I only see the heated steering wheel in the SX-P column...

Hopefully that information is wrong. That would be a huge downgrade.

It’s always been tied to AWD on the EX and SX. That’s pretty much guaranteed to continue. It only gets called out in the SX-P because that’s AWD only.

On the exterior color and combo page it appears that the X-Line Prestige will only have standard leather, while the X-Pro Prestige will have Nappa leather? If you look at the * and the key in the lower left hand corner, this appears to be true. What logic could Kia have with this? Really hoping a near top trim Prestige model does not have standard kia leather. If you are looking for an X trim and Nappa leather based on this info you would need to get the Prestige X Pro.

I wonder is this is an error, because if you look back on the page that shows interior changes via picture, it says new stitching on SX-Prestige, X-Line, and X-Pro, so you’d think the stitching would pair with the Nappa leather. Also, on the Build Mix page, it appears to distinguish between SX Prestige X-Line and SX X-Line, which seems to suggest you can get the amenities of the Prestige (including Nappa leather) with an X-Line trim.

I agree, it would be disappointing if the X-Line did not have the upgraded leather.

Ditto.
Makes zero sense that 20” wheels are part of this trim but they will not allow customers that need more seating to purchase a safety feature/ tech package. I cancelled my order today.

The terracotta interior color is with only the X-Pro model and probably napa
It says "X-Line & X-Pro" and indicates that Terracotta is Leather (not Nappa).

Seems like Nappa Leather will only be available on the X-Pro, not the X-Line, which doesn't make much sense. So you'd have to get SX-Prestige plus X-Pro to get Nappa. If you get an SX-Prestige, which comes with Nappa, but then want to add X-Line, you lose the Nappa? Kind of confusing.

It’s final, I am ordering the 2023 and opting against the 2022 that I had coming to me. My dealership/salesperson just told me all GMs are in Vegas right now to discuss the new model, features, colors, packages etc and that it is said that the official commercials will start in next few days.

You are most welcome.

I just texted my dealership/salesperson and they said '22 production has stopped and Kia is ramping up '23 production. They don't have anything else than the leaked info at this point.

I've been trying to stay positive this whole time but starting to get frustrated. Order back in Jan a SXP nightfall with AWD. Loved the Dune interior. Now I understand I might be jumping the gun still with no official roll out or build ability on the website, but hearing how X line might not have Nappa leather, no nightfall option, no color similar to Dune, front bumper not overly attractive just has me wondering if I need to start looking elsewhere. I guess I will have to take a look at the X pro again but I dont need this for an off road vehicle I have my pickup for that. Last I heard I was number 20 in line back in July but the $500 deposit is not refundable at my WI dealership.

Good catch! I’m going to upgrade from a 2022 EX to a 2023 SX and no heated steering wheel would be a dealbreaker. Love that thing.

Why did Kia take the Telluride wording off the front of the vehicle on the 2023 model? Whhhy?
