• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Now the next question will be, are these 2023s going to be shipping with the newest infotainment software since they’re been delayed so long?

The 2023 Palisade are shipping with old software since theirs was finalized before the April 2022 update released. If the story is the same with the Telluride, that’s a big deal for those taking home the first ones since they will still have the Nixie tubes and won’t be able to have Android Auto use the full screen.

It does look promising, though, that the new radio UI is in the infotainment manual. Good luck to those of you getting 2023s!

Well, looks like the 2023 is indeed shipping with the latest version from April. Sigh of relief for new 2023 owners.1664562948018.webp

Why a sigh of relief? It would just be updated in November, lol
I wouldn’t be so sure. Early 2021 models began appearing at dealers in June 2020. They didn’t have that year’s April 2020 update, which was coincidentally also handy for Android Auto users because it gave you the ability to use AA in split screen with the Kia UI rather than having nothing on the right 1/3. That year had an extra update in late August. When it was released, it only included the 2020 and not the 2021 because at the time it was “too new.” 2021 was included with that fall’s November update (the one that everyone freaked out about).

So since these 2023s are only hitting dealers in late Sept/early Oct, there might not be enough time for them to get the November 2022 update. Who knows. Nothing is certain. But at least those getting these won’t have outdated and less useful software like the first 2023 Palisade owners have.

more pictures? videos? yall are killing me!
That was from a post on Reddit of an SX-P X-Pro.

I also did see a post on FB of an SX-P X-Pro with the sage green that was since removed. It also has a dark headliner. So all X-Line and X-Pro interiors (black, terracotta, and sage green) have dark headliners.

Has anyone seen an SX X-Line in Wolf Gray yet? Wondering how the trim will look since it's not fully blacked out like Nightfall in the 2022.

Does anyone have picture of 2023 Everlasting Silver SX?
I'm pretty sure this one is. It looks like my exact build - SX Prestige X-Line.... 2022-09-30_12-55-43.jpeg

Just contacted my dealer to update my order to SX X-Line Dark Moss with Terracotta interior. He took my information and will be changing/updating my order over the weekend. I also inquired whether or not the X-Line package will come with a hitch. He honestly said he is not sure since X-Line/X-Pro are new packages in 2023 but he will find out for me.

Hardly less useful- it's only cosmetic changes. And the Palisade folks will get their update in November, so they aren't hurting much.
Depending on how you use the system, it can potentially be a big difference in usefulness. If you’re one of those who still listen to the radio, the newest update increases presets by over 50%, and more importantly, allows you to reorder them. And if you use Android Auto, you finally have full use of the entire screen.

If I was upgrading my Palisade and had the new software for three or four months and then had it ripped away from me for another three or four months, I’d be kind of annoyed.

The average person expect their new thing to have all of the new stuff on it.

Sorry- I just think you're making a big deal out of nothing. Are you one of those who like to beat up on Palisade (don't worry, there are many on here with you!). The 2022 software is no slouch, and a few months before an update is no huge detriment. You used words like "ripped away" and "sigh of relief" to describe getting the newest software. I'm guessing by the time many get their Telluride, that might not be the most current issue, and they're suddenly in the same spot. It's all no big deal.

Well, I have both a Palisade and a Telluride, so I’m not on one side or another. Same team.

In the Palisade groups and forums, multiple times per week people with new Palisade are asking why their new car doesn’t have the features their old one had or that others in the group are talking about. And the response is, “sorry, you’ll have to wait and hope.”

I’m not getting a 2023 Palisade or Telluride… my 2020 versions of each are great and don’t have that many miles. I don’t care either way. I’m just doing my best to help give accurate and helpful information (as always). I want those taking home their new Telluride to be as happy as possible with their fun new toy. And people on the forum are way more likely than the average owner to have updated their existing car’s system, so would be the most likely to be disappointed if their new car wasn’t completely new.

If you don’t care, that’s great. But some do.

Thanks - great comments, helpful and totally agree. Curious - can you provide some pros/cons of each Palisade and Telluride based on your experience? If you had to sell both and only purchase one, would it be a Palisade, Telluride or something else?

Maybe you should keep that to a private conversation or another thread to keep this on the 2023 Telluride.
The thread is getting too crazy with the same random questions from everyone as is.
