Is the Prestige package worth it on the new 2023 SX X-Line? I can't decide if it is worth the extra $3K.

Test Drove a 2023 SX X-Line last night, they had a SXP XPro that just got in for detail, the salesman went and pulled it out for us to check out and I have to say we instantly fell in love

The appearance of the X-Pro just outshined anything else out there - and the jungle green actually looked incredible in person.

We’re still ordering a White with Teracotta SXP XPro from out of state but I have to say any concern about the appearance of the grill or anything else was completely whipped away. I really like the look of it
Tried to work with this dealers but they wouldn’t budge on less than 6k over

It’s doesn’t look like the trim is blacked out like it was on the nightfall! Is it just the pic or is it more of a gray color?

It is worth it to me for the HUD alone. Once you have a car with this feature it is hard to go back.

Check out this thread Latest Detailed 23 Breakdown (09-29-22) It gives you all the bells and whistles though I think it is grotesque that rain sensing wipers are reserved for the top trim level on a 50k+ vehicle in 2022/2023. They had them on entry-level BMWs 15 years ago. However, I think you get some good stuff for the money. I almost went with it but my wife (whose car it'll be) decided against it. Ironically, with our '23 SX X-Line AWD order, we're very similar in price to a '22 SX-Prestige with Nightfall package, thanks to Kia's price increase of about $1,500 plus the formerly $795 towing package which is now baked into the X-Line/X-Pro package.

Nice! I ordered white SX X-line with Terracotta. What makes you think the Terracotta may be a while? I was told I was #6 in line and that the car would be there "soon".

That's what the dealer told me. It didn't get picked up like the sage green order did and they aren't sure when it will get picked as not many terracottas had. Not sure if that varies by dealership.

What about the SXP X-pro outshined the SX X-Line?

I don't think I would feel the same. Those 18 inch wheels look just wrong on a vehicle so large

Good question. Looks like that package went up from 2,300 in prior years. I really want the HUD and the electronic review mirror. The other items aren't really important to me. I'm going with the Prestige because of that - but really not such a great deal. In total it looks like the prestige + X-Line packages (vs. Nightfall) combined $700 more than in 2022. I chalk that up to them including the tow package (which I don't want) - even though that amount is really tied to the Prestige package and not the X-Line package. Oh well. So at the end of the day - how badly do you want what they offer in that package and do you feel that it's a fair value?

I’d love to see a video with the front and rear turn indicators illuminating. Not so curious on the front, but would like to know if the upper taillights still blink for the indicators on higher trims or if they moved the indicators down into the bumper area like some of the lower level trims on 22 and earlier.

The EX and SX function just like always. LED taillight with a turn signal that flashes the entire body-mounted section. Only the reverse light is in the bumper.

The LX and S keep the same non-LED taillight as last year. But although they used to have their turn signal mounted in the bumper, it no longer is. They just have a reflector down there. The turn signal/brake light does only illuminate the bottom half of the light, though.

The tow package is the same as always: a tow hitch and harness plus the self-leveling suspension. It can be added to regular EX or SX/SX-P trims once available.

The X-Line and X-Pro come with self-leveling suspension and a tow mode function. They don’t have the tow package. If they did, they’d have a hitch.

Any X-Line/X-Pro (or other trim) would need to have the tow hitch/harness optioned/installed.

We ordered an EX last February and are going to update our order tomorrow.

Our salesperson said if we changed our order from an EX to an SX we would lose our place 'in line' and would have to start waiting all over again. Is that correct/a Kia thing? Or maybe a dealership thing?
