Yeah what the heck happened to darker trim in this concept picDamn, that looks terrible. I can’t believe we waited a year to end up with this ugly thing.

No, it’s never black. Just a darker gray. The appearance changes heavily based on lighting.Shouldnt the gray front & rear lower bumper and grill trim be black for the X-Line?
Unfortunately it’s just a darker chrome instead of black. It makes no sense why they didn’t do black instead.Shouldnt the gray front & rear lower bumper and grill trim be black for the X-Line?
I’m trying to decide EXACT same thingthanks for the GG X-Line pics! Now to decide between X-Line and X-Pro....
The midnight lake blue in XPRO and xline looks amazing with the darker grey trim but it seems like nothing else does. It’s almost like they designed the car with that color in mind (see every single press photo is with that color) and didn’t adjust anything to look good with that color. I’m going with the blue because I absolutely love it, but if you don’t it kind of sucks because IMO the other color combinations don’t work great with the dark grey or silver exterior trims.
The real world pictures i've seen recently of the new blue color show it to be a much lighter/brighter blue color than the dark/deep blue color the promo ads we've all seen show...The midnight lake blue in XPRO and xline looks amazing with the darker grey trim but it seems like nothing else does. Lots of the real world photos look dark too. Depends on the lighting. Similar to the dark moss switching from green to brown depending on the lighting. I think the dark grey trim works pretty well with quite a few of the colors. I agree though that the bright silver trim doesn’t look that great on quite a few paint colors. The blue for sure looks good in all trims. I guess I’m in the very small minority here but I think the new design is much more interesting and cohesive than the 20-22s.The midnight lake blue in XPRO and xline looks amazing with the darker grey trim but it seems like nothing else does. It took me a bit I’m with you. I think it looks way better and modern inside and out. Orange glowing daytime running lights are going to look very aged in the next few months IMOI think the dark grey trim works pretty well with quite a few of the colors. Yea, I actually just asked our dealer if I could make this same switch but it was too late. So I guess we’ll be looking into vinyl wrapping asap. After seeing the real world pictures I think I’m swapping gravity gray out and ordering everlasting silver instead. The darker x-line trim almost clashes with GG and the lighter ES makes the trim look darker.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think the LX wheels are the best looking. I have an EX slated to come in pretty soon and I'd probably be willing to trade for LX wheels. As always, big difference in features and creature comforts from an SX to an LX.
They improved LX by a bit last year by adding the larger infotainment screen and automatic climate control. Of course, this year gets the even larger 12.3” infotainment like the rest of the line (plus the low-end flat instrument cluster). And all 2023 models have LED headlights. Still no LED taillights, though.
Just remember it’s the basic trim.

Yep, always been a fan of the 18" size, I liked the 18" rims that came on the standard EX for '20 - '22. It adds a little more sidewall to keep my wife from beating them up too.You realize the LX's are 18", right?
Probably for the same reason the Telluride didn't launch with NF - it gives them an option to add again in a year or two that will noticeably change/improve the appearance of the vehicle.Unfortunately it’s just a darker chrome instead of black. It makes no sense why they didn’t do black instead.
I disagree. The inside looks much better with the basic gauge cluster and slapped-on infotainment display removed/modernized... but the exterior is largely worse in most configurations. It's like the Telluride was too successful and detracting from Genesis. Now it has obnoxiously large silver/gray trim pieces for no apparent reason, and they killed a signature element that identified a Telluride from literally a mile away. Those amber DRLs will look good for years to come.It took me a bit I’m with you. I think it looks way better and modern inside and out.
