If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi, all.
I currently got a notice from my dealer that my order for a new 2022 (made on Feb 2022) was picked up, and it will be a 2023.
However, even at the same trim, MSRP increased to nearly 3k so I am curious what do you pay if your order was changed to 2023 from 2022.
In my case, my original MSRP for 2022 SX AWD was 46k, but the MSRP of a 2023 SX AWD is 49k.
How do you deal with this price discrepancy?

There is no discrepancy. The price that the consumer pays is what the price is on the day of the delivery. Unless you have something in writing from the dealer for some sort of price lock.

Same goes for manufacturer incentives and promos, you get what's available on the date of delivery. GL

That should be nice. However, promos are usually up to the time at picking a car up, no?

I think you have to pay for the 2023 price

My dealership told me in March and again last month that I’ll get the 22 price that was agreed upon. The sales guy said “it’s not your fault Kia didn’t make you car in time”. I’ll believe it when I get the car though. Can’t imagine the dealership will take the hit….

Yea... That's my thought... But, anyway it's up to the dealer's decision I guess. I need to talk with my dealer about that. Can I ask where you put the order?

Yes they are, which is what I meant by my post sorry for any confusion. Same goes for the price you pay for the vehicle at delivery.

For those who reasonably believe they will get '22 pricing on their converted '23 orders you should have a serious conversation with your dealers about this and/or read the 3 years worth of posts on this forum documenting the contrary. I wish it were so, but it just is not in most cases.

Did you get the VIN yet or Monroney sticker? That will be your price. I don't know of any dealerships letting folks pay 2022 prices when it's a 2023.

It seems you also will have a 2023. Did you order for 2022 model, which was switched to 2023?
I had an original 2022 order. I had an EX-P ordered previously. However, once i saw the 2023 pricing, i decided just to get the S trim since the price was out of my comfort zone. They didn’t tell me the 2022 price wouldn’t be honored, but I assumed as much.
