• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Interesting. I have to be a ways behind you since you ordered about 2.5 months before me (ordered around March 12, 2022). Not sure what #65 in line means though. #65 for just them I assume? How many allotments do they get per month?

My salesman did say that they've been getting bigger allotments in their last two, but did not say how many. My theory (hope really), is that as the factories are fully transitioned to 2023 and have sent a few out to dealerships to show, there will be a point where they start arriving faster on orders than during the transition period. My salesman seemed to think this was possible, but of course will not commit to when to expect other than to plan on a full year from my March order.
Yeah, I'm not 100% sure what that number in line means either. Does it mean I have to wait for 64 others first before I'm up or are others getting theirs earlier/later based on the specs of their order? Not toooooo sure lol.

Regardless, you can use failcat.com to get a good idea of the amount of VINs that are being assigned to cars that will be going to Hendrick. Their dealer code is NC061. Based on what I am seeing, there have been 35 of them generated for this month alone (so far - that number will probably grow each day).

I'll try to keep you posted with updates on my journey as I get 'em!

Thanks!

Very unscientifically, that would suggest that they're on about a 54/month pace (but we really need more data points, and especially moving forward). If it is true, you'd be getting yours late Nov/early Dec. (sooner if it picks up), and I'd have no idea about mine. Wonder if they know my # in line? Anyways, might be interesting to follow their allotments on fail-cat over the next several weeks.

Definitely. I am excited to stop looking at Failcat every single day. Hopefully that pace holds up and holds true!

I'd suggest maybe reaching out to your contact at Hendrick and asking if they have any idea of where you stand in the queue. That's all I did.

Also having a hard time figuring out how the system works. Was told by my dealership about 3 weeks ago I was #6 in line for a '23. Figured it would be a matter of weeks. According to Failcat, they have close to 30 in the pipeline and I don't see mine in there yet. Maybe the place in line is tied to an allocation for that trim-line? Or maybe the dealerships also receive batches of whatever-trims, in addition to custom orders? No clue...

You would need clarification for where you are in line for the trim you have ordered. As I understand from the a dealer I talked to, Kia picks up orders on an allocation based on what the dealership sells the most. What you see in some of the earlier dealer documentation of build plan for % by trim line will also play into how quickly you will get the vehicle. If you're number 65 in line for an EX, that's different than 65 in line for a Telluride.

It seems like right now, Kia preplanned ramp up for 23 with vehicles they were producing and then they review their KFO's and assign the vehicle to the dealer. My dealer identified that someone who placed an order in the beginning of October got picked up in the October KFO's.

So all that being said, it doesn't sound like estimating will be very accurate and the communication right now between Kia Corporate, Regional Managers and the dealers is pretty minimal for details.

If that is how allocating works, then I should be getting the next SX X-Line

Interesting.

In that case, hopefully I’m just 65th in line based strictly on when the order was placed. I’ve been waiting for 10 months already so I can’t imagine I’m 65th in line for that specific trim 😵‍💫

Can anyone with an x-line and/or x-line pro update the GVWR from the door panel sticker?

Aren't the side passenger and rear windows tinted?
For the 2023 SXP X-Pro the rear Passenger doors have pull up shades hidden in the door, no tint.

Opinion on 1) Interior Gray nappa 2) Exterior Everlasting Silver

I have to update my order to 2023 SX-P.
With Gravity Gray, the interior options are Gray or Black nappa. I do not like black but the gray is almost white.
Can people weigh in on the 'Gray' nappa. We do not have pets or toddlers.
Does it get stained too easily?
Is it difficult to clean?
Is it too bright because everything except the floor is gray/white.\

If I have to go with Black interior, I'd switch to Everlasting Silver exterior? How do you like ES for exterior? Is it too reflective, Babyish blue?

I have done search of this thread but could not find answer.

Thank you.
I did not choose Everlasting Silver but I have to say in real life it is really nice... it is what I thought Wolf Grey would look like. So I am very Happy with it.

5971 or 5917? 5917 is what’s listed in the specs for all 2023 AWD models on Kia’s media site. And (despite other numbers being listed officially), that’s what’s been on the placard of AWD models for years now.

They all have privacy glass for the rear doors and all rear windows. I’m assuming that’s what they were referring to.

EX-Trim and higher gets them

Yes made a correction just miss-typed on the first and also yes on the second… privacy glass on rear doors and rear windows with the sun shades for rear doors.

People on Facebook are freaking me out with all the complaints on their Telly's. Should I be worried or is the number still so low to the total sold?

Since the 23 palisade is getting it and I’m pretty sure they are the same head unit the 23 telluride probably can get it. They just don’t have it listed on their site since the 23s are literally just rolling out.
So I chatted with help tonight to see if this update will be available. This person must not have had much of a clue.
