• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Good morning everyone,

After I updated the map software last weekend whenever I start the car it asked me for which profile I want to log into, is there a way to have an auto select a profile?
Also if I don’t select radio or media it sits on the screen below. Why is that and how do I disable it?

TIA

TIA

It will always default to the last-used profile. The only time you have to explicitly choose a profile is if you’re switching.

The screen you’ve pictured is the main home screen, it will usually default to that unless you have the map up as your main app. There is no way to change that. I typically have maps in the main 2/3 of the screen and Bluetooth audio on the right 1/3. It will always come back to the map when I start the car. Now if I switched that around and had Bluetooth as main 2/3 and map as right 1/3, then when turning the car back on, it would default back to the main home screen.

I hope everyone had a great New Year's!

So getting back to this, when you say that you have maps on two/ three of the screen, how are you setting that up? Is it like the previous software where you could have three different displays up at the same time? Overall, I enjoy the new look but I hate having to select "confirm" before I can ever get to my media or radio and then having to select media or radio to see that particular screen... it's a little tedious

You just push the “maps” hard button to bring up Kia maps. Then you can split in your audio or other info on the right 1/3 if you want. But having the Kia maps up as primary will default you back to the same view next time you turn on the car.

You will always have the profile selection/confirm you’re not going to be distracted splash screen no matter what. You don’t have to hit confirm. It’ll time out and take you into the main UI after 10-15 seconds or so.
